I’m wondering if these are legit copies of these items or bootleg. I lived in Taiwan for a year (many, many years ago) and the bootlegging of all types of media was rampant. What makes me think it may be bootleg is the wording on the back of the box and the translation of “season” as “quarter” and “first” as “one” as in “The One Quarter” to mean “The First Season”. Note also that although the names are translated into Chinese, the back of the box says that the language of the DVDs is English. This would make me cautious of this product.
Back when I lived there in 1982 (told you it was a long time ago), foreign students were often hired to pose with bootlegged items for tags and labeling to make them seem legit. Somewhere out there, duffel bags were sold with me and a friend holding them…
I’ve noticed the coming and going. I have difficulty figuring out the discount too. Seems like the commercial discount IS available to everyone…?
Thanks for all your responses. I’m going to check out uship. I also love the idea of taking a video of the people packing the item if I go that route!
I really question “Local Pickup” in Phoenix. Even though Phoenix has 4M people, tastes here are more generic than on the coasts. And it is a LOOOOONG drive to Phoenix from most other places.
