        Maybe your stirrup is the match for my tapadero, Sigilini. We just need to find the other half.

            It looks like pairs bring good money Jay, I guess the only way to find out is by posting it. Maybe someone has a match (doubtful), or wants to use it as a wall hanger or something (hopeful).

                My wife figured it out for anyone who is interested or ever runs across one. This is one half of a pair of Tapaderos. A Tapadero is basically a stirrup holder used in horse riding. You can search the web or ebay for that matter if you want to see any more examples. Thanks to anyone who attempted to help. FYI, I too thought it was a gun holster, lol.
