@simplicio thanks for the tip! I’ll pick some up today.
Great week volume-wise…35 items sold is a new high for me. Zebra thermal printer was a great investment… has saved time/ headaches already.
Does anyone have tips for getting permanent marker off of the bottom of shoes? I have a nice pair of cap toes that i need to get sharpie off of the leather sole. I’ve tried several different concoctions with not much luck.

New Inventory Costs $175Was finally able to list 2 sportcoats (i have a rack i havn’t been able to list yet) and they both sold! Very encouraging. Looking forward to listening this afternoon… Congrats on the bounce back numbers.
Great listen as usual… Solid week dollars wise thanks to a big ticket item selling (vintage handbag.) Number of sales were slightly down. I’m using a new system of listing by creating batches on the PC of similar types of items. Then adding photos and finishing touches through the app. This workflow is MUCH better. The app can be brutal if you’re trying to list 20-30 items at a time.
We reorganized our inventory area in the basement. Items are mostly clothes so we have stacks of bins and racks of jackets etc. I’m really starting to cut bait on things that aren’t worth my time. If I can’t make $20 in profit I wont’t pick it up.
I have been swamped at my full time gig and can’t wait to get out… coming to terms that I need to be patient and continue to ramp up over the next 8 months.

New Inventory Costs $7711/05/2019 at 9:14 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 435: List and Forget, Still Works For Us #70076Another great week for sales… I was out of town for a few days so I have fallen behind on new listings. I met with a tax professional last week… she made me feel pretty confident in things that i’m tracking and COGS at yard sales etc. She also said I can use cash based accounting for taxes which should make things simpler.

New Inventory Costs 7410/28/2019 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 434: Do You Have A Business Destiny? #69670I’m loving the all the inventory system talk… it has my wheels turning. The last two weeks have been great sales wise. I have set new records each week. I have changed my listing process from phone only to starting drafts on computer and taking pics through the app. The app has been sooo buggy and difficult to work with.
I’m meeting with an accountant later today to make sure I’m keeping track of everything needed. Thanks for another great listen and the motivation.
Numbers for the last 2 weeks:

New Inventory Costs 86 271Great listen as usual! I started listening to the podcast from the beginning… what happened to Wendy and Mikey?? I guess I’ll find out. It’s pretty fun and inspiring to listen to the start.
Another solid week… loving q4. Unfortunately I just got a return notice last night on my highest sold item last week (boots.) They didn’t fit the buyer. So that kind of skews the below numbers.
My goal is to go full time at the end of June. My biggest issue right now is not having enough time. I have been listing most nights after the kids go to bed until midnight.
I had a nice score of unopened cosmetics at a yard sale… paid $60 for the lot and sold 1 item already for
$50. I also scored 2 pairs of Alden captoe shoes for $8 a piece.

New Inventory Costs $153Hi @t-satt – What am I doing wrong when calculating STR?
I thought the formula was Sold/total items? Using your weekly post: 96/3353 = 2.9% What am I missing? Thanks!
thanks for the warm welcome! @t-satt Yea I have ton of t-shirts and shorts… been trying to beef up my sweater/ outerwear for q4. Last week was oddly slow. Sales have been cranking so far this week.
Hi all,
First post here… I have been scaling up since January and the podcast has been soooo helpful. I’m selling mostly clothes on ebay. I’m hoping to go full time in the next year or so. The T.Dot and Jay numbers episodes were eye opening. Highly recommend Pirate ship for heavier objects. Here are last weeks numbers…number of items sold stayed the same but dollars went down… no big ticket items sold.
