Trash to Cash. A podcast about making a living on eBay.
No,not to resell,just to themselves.
Buying online here is VERY popular, mostly in eBay,people buy a wide range of products from china,Amazon is way less popular.
Thanks for the warm welcome 🙂
There are some small thrift stores scattered around, there is a main flea market in Jaffa, south of Tel Aviv, and another antiques market in central Tel Aviv, and yard sales are not very common.
Since I’m new to scavenging or reselling myself i’m not fully aware of other people doing the same around me,from what I’ve gathered, most Israeli sellers are dropshippers, not scavengers.
The 1st item I sold was a small 250ml (approx. 8.5oz) can of extra virgin olive oil for 35$,after just two weeks of listing it,so I thought that might be a nice niche. I visited a couple of olive oil presses in the Galilee region (out of dozens) and just for testing the waters I bought a 500ml (approx. 17oz) can to resell but this time it’s still sitting in my little storage space :/ so my activity slowed down considerably after that.
I selling exclusively to international buyers, because the Israeli market is very small, and also because Israelis do not use eBay very for internal commerce very much.
Sorry for the long response :P,i’m more than happy to answer any questions.
