Thank you, Sharyn, MDC Galleries, and Jay! Your info was GREAT and so helpful! I got a rough estimate on UShip, and then sent the info to the buyer, along with all the info for him to request a formal UShip quote. The buyer unfortunately was unfamiliar with UShip (and not in a position to check it out), so he preferred instead to call his friend back and ask him to pick up the doors. So my goals will still be met – of selling the doors and not packing them or risking losing $ on the shipping cost. I will definitely create the packing list as you suggested, write the friend’s info on it, have the friend sign it, and send a copy to the buyer. And now I’ll be prepared in the future — for any HUGE items — on how to coach someone through UShip/Plycon RIGHT AWAY. Thanks again, folks! You are the BEST!
