I can’t speak to the accounting part because I do all accounting with my own excel instead using an account service that download your records.

For my own, I actually think it’s easier to transfer out the cash, that acts as a check of how much cash I receive and record (sales rev + shipping rev – ppal fees). I am a hobby seller though, so the volume is low.

The only time when it is a bit confusing is when paypal puts a hold on my account when someone has a dispute case out there.
