A two goat limit! That makes me laugh!
I’d love to plant an orchard! My son and I are considering some larger animals for next fall (goats or hogs but definitely not both!) I’m spread a little thin these days so I am having to consider animal projects carefully.
What I love about the hubs shock when I sell something and make a nice profit is that his eyes are slowly being opened to the possibilities. (Baby steps) We could be so much more if we could team up. And we love working together on various things so I think eBay would keep us from killing each other, I mean bring us closer together when he retires. ?
Thanks for chiming in! It’s so nice to meet you!
Lol-ing! Thanks for sharing that! (And truly, our goal isn’t to be farmers or ranchers. We just want to be self sufficient, debt free, problem-solving, resourceful people. Is that to much to ask?!)
I desire to have my eBay profits pay for things like building a home on our property in Northern AZ when the hubs retires. I’d also like to get to a place where we can freely give with abundance. Right now the reality is eBay gets us through Christmas, helps with medical bills and funds road trips to see my family in Seattle. And I am so thankful eBay is there to help me make those things happen.
Time management is an issue for me and prevents me from making my eBay business a consistent money maker. I am working hard to manage my time better though. I am busy, busy, busy but who isn’t?!
I think that it is so cool that you were able to get a hot-tub for your daughter with your profits! I am inspired!
I too have a child with some medical issues. We are learning a lot very quickly. Even with insurance the costs associated with her care are adding up. I am so glad I can make a little money on eBay to help with those kinds of expenses though.
I am so inspired right now! Thanks for sharing!
I love that you seem to answer all of the posts here. Impressive! So appreciate you and Ryanne. You have no idea . . .
Thanks for jumping in and saying hi! Lokking forward to getting to know everyone!
Yay! I am looking for kindred spirits here!
Lately I have been making myself only purchase items at Goodwill that are the color of the week. The bonus is it really cuts down on my time scavenging because I am not looking at everything. Just the sale items. Goodwill did open a boutique close to me a year or two ago but I still find many good treasures in their original thrift stores.
Garage sales run most of the year here because I am in Tucson. There aren’t many in July and August because it’s so unbearably hot and often, nobody want to go to them either. We do compete A LOT here with visitors from Mexico. The border is about 90 minutes from us. Entire families come in with trucks that have sides and do a sweep, often arriving before the sale begins. And they know how to wheel and deal! Because of what I like to sell, I intentionally seek out garage sales in communities with older folks. I love those .10 prices!
I usually want to pay $1 – $2 or less for items but occasionally will risk more if I have that “feeling”. I bought a Nightmare Before Christmas hoodie, nwt for $7.50 and recently sold it for $69.99.
My hubs is a FF but works part time with his brother. Since I have been selling on eBay he has been bringing home treasures he finds in or near dumpsters at various buildings where they work. I find it hilarious because I never thought I’d see the day!
Love the new look of the blog. Love the forums.
