In the middle of a dance class. I bluetooth the dance music to speakers through my phone and turn off wifi and cell data to prevent incoming anythings, but forgot one day. Sale and payment one after the other right in the middle of a complicated section of a choreography! It broke the tension, though…
Love your title! LOL. So glad we have Jesus on our team now! 😉
Welcome.
Suzanne A Wells has started a Facebook group for folks who want to sell Death Piles to folks who don’t have places to buy directly. You have to email her directly to request membership as a buyer.

It was the Disney Epcot Figment dragon

Found a Disney cap in my garage, left by the previous owner (he left a lot of junk.) It had a broken snapback. Called in to SL and Ryanne said price it high. So I did. Sold for $170.
Ok, so please correct me if I’m wrong: this
sellers will need to use a trackable delivery service.
means we cannot use First Class if we go with this option?
Thanks Whiskey. Now I feel smug that I opted to buy the U.S.A. made one for $5!
They’re beautiful!
I would give it a title, like ‘A Walk After Dinner’ or ‘Farmer Family Amble’ or ‘Meeting the Village’ or something short else and snappy. Folks like to be able to say “oh, it’s a …” Then add descriptives, so it would be something like:
Stroll on the Farm Matched Pair Victorian Rural Country Scene Oval Framed Print
Although I agree with Jay. Hang them on your wall so that you can enjoy them while you wait for a sale. 🙂
Nice one, Eve. Everything she said! Busy with my taxes now. Ugh! LOL. But I’m working towards the day when I have a whopping tax bill. That will mean I have had LOTS of sales! Wheeeeee…..
It occurred to me in the wee hours of the morning that I should just build myself a giant lightbox! A big, glass sided shed that is totally open to the sun, but enclosed so that my stuff doesn’t get blown away by our constant winds or rained on. LOL!
Thanks for all your help, folks. I really appreciate it.
Retro Treasures – my hero! I want to be like you when I grow up! 😀
03/20/2017 at 1:09 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 302: How to Deal with Dreaded eBay Scammers Lurking Everywhere!! #14892Week March 12-19, 2017
Total Items in Store: 128
Items Sold: 2
Cost of Items Sold: $0
Total Sales: $70
Highest Price Sold: $40 (dog crate)
Average Price Sold: $35
Returns: 0
Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $8
Number of items listed this week: 26This “week” is 8 days long because I decided I want it to start on a Monday in future. And I have sales to report! Woot woot!
Listing was slower than I’d like for two reasons: (1) trouble with photographs and (2) I’ve been migrating my inventory across to the new system, splitting my time between new listings and revising the old listings with the new SKU numbers. I’m thrilled with how it’s working out and can’t wait to get it finished. It’s taking up much less space (3 empty bins already!) and it feels good to have an unique item number for each piece. Much easier for tracking.
A older neighbor loves to go to yard sales and thrift stores but doesn’t need more stuff, nor has cash to spend on it. So she picks up stuff “for me” and I pay her cost. We joke she’s my personal shopper. LOL. I’m on the Death Pile Challenge, so not doing any shopping of my own, but the once or twice a month she turns up with something, I’m not going to spoil her fun. It’s my community good deed for the week. I’ll make sure to list 3 of the 4 items this week, so they don’t contribute to the Death Piles. The 4th item I’m keeping for me.
eBay sent me a special offer to open a store for only $5 per month for the first three months for a basic store. I’m going to wait until the last day of the offer (March 31st) so that I can start a new month with a new store. Also, because I promised myself that’s when I would open a store, and because I’d like to get 250 items in the store from day one. Lots of listing this week!
WillieBee, what phone do you use?
Thanks, Sonia. Yes, I’ve done the color advisement route. Sometimes I’ll note that a particular photo is the most accurate color. But on days like today when a very attractive blue is coming out prison gray, I’m not quite so forgiving! LOL.
The reason why it’s bugging me so much is because I’ve identified photographs as my biggest hurdle in listing faster. I seem to be getting good at research and creating the specs on my listings, but the photos take forever! This week I was averaging 13 minutes to get a tie done, and 23 minutes for a shirt. That’s way too slow if I’m wanting to do 20-30 listings per day.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the feedback and help. I really do appreciate it!
