It looks like some of these have sold in the range of $60-$100+, but mine has a signature and a little self portrait of Joe Rohde who was the executive designer and vice president, creative at Walt Disney imagineering as well as an established artist.

You can even see in the drawing his iconic dangling earring.
I know Disney collecting is huge but I am at a loss as to where to price this.

Interesting. He just retired less than a month ago.
Someone around here may be able to throw out a specific number, but I’d say you should try posting on a Disney related forum. You ay even be able to sell it off eBay to a collector. It would have to be someone pretty geeky who would know who Joe Rohde is.

What Jay said is a good idea. Sometimes it takes a little noodling around if you don’t want to deal with the fanatics, though. If you search “Joe Rohde” in Terapeak, what comes up is some kind of adult Mickey Mouse hat he designed that sells in the $375 range. Also try searching “autograph” and “signed” in the Disneyana collectibles category. Based on just a quick perusal if it were mine I’d put it up in the $400’s to have some room to take a best offer if it comes to it. A little more research might give you confidence to ask more.

Oh. My. Goodness. I don’t have pricing help other than you should be able to ask at least 2-4x unsigned prices. I am geeking out here. I echo posters above that Disney forums will be helpful – try the slightly more specialty ones like MiceChat – NOT DisBoards! Or I have contacted bloggers for specialty items and they have been very helpful. Gorillas Don’t Blog and Meet The World are both collectible bloggers. Good luck!

You might want to contact someone at Hertiage Auctions. In May, I found 3 Salvador Dali Lithographs a Goodwill, and I ended up running my auction through Heritage. Similar Dali Lithos sold on eBay for $400 to $1200, but through Heritage, I sold all 3 for a total of 5k (I think the net after fees was around 4k).
Heritage runs very specific auctions and targets the correct demographic- they know their audience. They have an entertainment collectibles division that this book might fit nicely into.
There are no upfront fees, appraisal by email is free and if they decide to list, they do all the work. Further, if they don’t think the item is worth their time, they will politely redirect you to eBay.
You can find their website here.

I dont think we ever heard the outcome of those prints. Congrats on that big sale!

Yes was very pleased with the entire process. If you have something truly unique I think Heritage is the way to go.
Heritage targets a very specific demographic and auctions soft close – so there isn’t any last minute second bids to swipe at lowest cost.
As a seller, I had to wait 30 days for my payout but I once I received it – the money was mine. No returns, no INADs, and no ability for the customer to contest a credit card charge 6 months later.
If I ever find anything that unique again, I will definitely use Heritage.

Yep, they’re mainly an art auction so you picked the right one. We’ve sent plenty of photos to them over the years with a “no” or silence. Seems you found something they like!

Yes but they do have a movie memorabilia division. This is terrible, but if you want to go super long-tail you might want to wait until Joe Rohde passes on.
