I remember going to my grandma’s as a kid, and she had one of those nut bowls. I never find them, but I do have some vintage nut tools for whenever I do.
Not too much to talk about …
I purchased some vintage clothing in an auction maybe two years ago, and they’ve been selling little by little. This jacket was some kind of work in progress with the word “SAMPLE” stamped in the inside. I figured it was weird enough that someone would eventually want it. Paid less than $1, sold for $25.
A neighbor was throwing this rug out, so I grabbed it off their curb. Just checked shipping, and it appears to be stuck at my post office. It’s supposed to go to Nebraska. Hopefully, the buyer didn’t wanted to use it for the holidays.
This vase was one of my commission items. I believe that it is a Haag vase, but I couldn’t find exactly the same scene in my research, and the markings didn’t show the manufacturer. I set the price higher than others, and either I priced it too low or I right priced it, because it sold overnight to someone collecting these types of vases.

several sales last week and two returns?! I suppose it was bound to happen with the returns as I really haven’t had any yet.
Sold an electronic backgammon game that I have had for 20 years and since it was new. Sold with travel case and instructions. Purchaser says no instructions showed up and said it will only show an open screen. Despite explaining she needs to press the reset button on the bottom and asking her to look again for the instructions Ebay says I have to accept a return as the buyer is claiming it doesn’t work.
Also sold a book and the buyer asked to return, even though she admitted she bought the wrong one. I went ahead and said yes as she will have to pay the shipping.
Items that sold:
Vintage radio- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193742543515
I picked up for a few dollars in an online estate auction. This is going somewhere overseas as it’s being mailed to a reship place.
Model Plane- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193800982996
Bought this and a couple other at an estate sale. Surprised these were still there even on a sunday when everything was 50% off. Got 3 of them for $21 after the discount so happy with more than doubling my money on one of them
Pottery Barn shot glasses- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193708357152
found these at a thrift store for a couple dollars. still sealed in the package!
Deck of playing cards from England – https://www.ebay.com/itm/193728274116
Estate sale item for a dollar. I only buy the playing cards that are still sealed and no more than 2 bucks.
Kansas Jayhawk Hotel ashtray – https://www.ebay.com/itm/193805191447
Picked this up at an estate sale for a dollar! saw it and immediately grabbed it as it had some college football logo and looked vintage. The hotel it’s from closed years ago and in case it’s some kind of replica I caveated the description saying that while it was purchased from an estate sale of an elderly couple I couldn’t make a claim as to the age.
Huge Nat Geo Atlas- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193785225472
Couldn’t pass this up at an estate sale for a dollar.
Wooden travel game set – https://www.ebay.com/itm/193744748931
Estate sale item bought for a couple dollars. This one went to Puerto Rico and amazingly got there within 5 days!
Super Powers Superman action fig- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193785233060
Another estate sale find. grabbed this dude for two bucks. Would’ve been worth twice what I sold it for but it had a reproduction cape attached to it. Still in awesome condition and a great flip from two dollars to twenty five.
Overall a great past 2 weeks of selling and for a couple days had finally broke the 150 mark for listings.
