I remember those ball radios. I was probably about 10 when I had one, maybe older.

My first what sold video No home runs or super cool vintage items, just bread and butter. A function of what I’ve been listing lately. Last in, first out.

Thank you for the videos Steve and Christine.
Christine, I learned from you that the label with the bug next to Vera is Vera Neumann. I just had a dress of hers that I put in the donate pile two days ago because of a slight defect. I may have to take another look at it.

Hey Julie, thanks for the comment. I’m happy your sales are good and so admire you for taking on a huge lot of bathing suits. I love RA selling but that was pretty brave as far as returns go in my book. Wish I had been able to stock up my store before this happened, but unfortunately I was actually having to take a break earlier this year.

April has been my most profitable month in two years. I really thought sales were going to tank due to all of the economic uncertainties. I did list a lot more this month than normal. But I also think people are bored working from home so they’re online shopping.
All of my highest profit margin items were clothing this week.
The best sale was a vtg pair of Hercules Bib Overalls that sold for $99.99 within 2 days.Sold a Formula 1 Red Bull racing Puma Polo shirt for $39.99. It had the logos of other car companies on it but I knew at least one of those would get me a Vero if I listed out the name so I left it off of the title and it still sold quickly.
Sold a Adrianna Papel Evening gown for $79.99. Interesting that anyone would be in the market for a gown right now.
Sold a NOS Champion 1996 Atlanta Olympics t-shirt within one day for $29.99.
I think nearly all of these items were sitting in my death-piles.

ChristineR – Going back a few years, I tried putting together a few What Sold videos. Yours is definitely tons better than what I did. That is why I just do links.
A few years ago, I purchased a large lot of alcohol related signs. Some of them were electrical, and few were non-working or had outdated wiring. Finally, about a year ago, I installed new wiring in three of them. Since I did all this work, I put them up pretty high. This Miller High Life one sold on sale with make offer on top of it, getting it down to $40. I paid maybe $4 for it, and the new wiring was another $5 or so plus the additional work.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/183829858777This bedspread was part of an auction lot that no one wanted. I paid about $1 and it sat in the guest room for months until I finally photographed it and a few other linens. It sold overnight for $34.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184261533782Another vintage Zenith radio from my purchase last year sold on offer for $32. I paid less than $3.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184092122157Right before the quarantine started, I bid in an online tool auction. During pickup, the auctioneer (who works many of the live auctions I go to) told me about one of the items, which is a copper lightning rod. I paid $2 and it sold for $35. Unfortunately, it seems to be stuck in USPS hell because tracking has not been updated since April 23 when I shipped it out. I will be opening a missing item case if nothing happens by Saturday afternoon, and I might be out the money if they never find it.
