Total Items in Ebay Store: 1313
Items Sold: 22
Gross Sales: $1164 (including eBay fees, shipping, and taxes)
Net Sales: $742 (minus eBay fees, shipping, and taxes)
Cost of Items Sold: $151
Highest Price Sold: $180 (set of four used Williams Sonoma dinner plates)
Average Price Sold: $53
Returns: 1ish. I messed up printing a label on Poshmark on a multiquantity so threw in an extra small item.
Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $120 (RA clearance), Christmas thrift $15
Number of items listed this week:Promoted sales: 65% of total sales
Seller initiated offer sales: 62%; best offer by buyer sales 6%Mercari $50.15
Poshmark $67.00Listings: eBay 917; Poshmark 379; Mercari 355
Sales are picking up for me. I like to do the combo now of 10% off with a public coupon of an extra %5 off sale. You get a big banner that leads people to your store. I always plan to discount around 15% Wednesdays-Sundays. If I have a lower margin item, I’ll offer just %5 more to likers to keep active. If it’s a stale item or a great margin, I’ll offer more. I’d like to make as many sales as possible before the Black Friday ads really start.
Speaking of which, Target has been giving me some pretty good deals in my Circle. They gave me my Circle subscription for free for a year. I got $25 for buying $50 in their label groceries. I also am getting some nice deals and coupons. Today I bought a big deal of the day electronics present (about 40% off retail) and a game 25% off.
I am getting to be a believer in the cross posting software. I have sold some stale items on other platforms and they both have cheaper shipping and likely better Google action than Ebay. There is a common suspicion that Ebay rotates sales and listings, so nice to feel like you are getting a bit of revenge by listing elsewhere. In the meantime, the software is ending and relisting my listings on Mercari and Ebay, producing activity. However, for my listings over 180 days I still need to go end and sell similar on Ebay, adding some photos to my RA items.
After seeing Poshmark fees up front, I’m liking Mercari. I just need to be careful not to list expensive items. Also need to remember not to put items heavier than 5 pounds on Posh. I’m finding Posh buyers are definitely more consistently looking for offers so I should probably mark up some of my low margin items a bit – you are allowed to have different prices with the software.
On the sourcing front, I am trying hard to stick with just the flea market and hit the Christmas when it first gets put out. Two of my 5 good stores are putting out Christmas. I did buy some Anthropologie Halloween on clearance – they did NOT seem to do well this Halloween, and also have a lot of summer clothing on sale right now.
Finally, I’m really trying and struggling to list every day. I made it to 15/31 days and hope to do better this month.
I was wavering but signed up for only two in person markets so far.

Ps. Are people having issues with the post office? I had an item arrive unsealed today (buyer let me know was ok but happened). Had an item go to another coast and come back to the buyer in my home state. Have some items running late on Poshmark with ground. Also ordered something myself and it’s taking forever. Finally, my post office is not scanning on the day I put it on the bin (I get annoying email from Poshmark when it gets a scan).

I haven’t been doing my numbers lately, but I thought I’d show an item I sold last week:
This was the top rack from my old dishwasher, sold for $64: https://www.ebay.com/itm/187115370836
We finished up our flooring project a week ago. I had put my store on Time Away until my desk, computer, and printers were back in action. I also did a large end and relist. I did sell a few items, but my sales are very slow since I’m not listing.
