Always A Trade Off U.K.
Participant- Location: The U.K. the land of the car boot sale.
@always-a-trade-off-u-kHi from the UK
I picked up these badges from the car boot sale (flea market), last week for a few quid. Can anyone tell me what vehicles they belong to ? I suspect they are from Fords and possibly trucks, as the makers name on the back is the same as the one that used to produce badges for Ford cars here in the UK.

Those dont come from any Ford truck here in the US. But they do look like car badges, but google doesnt bring anything up.

I think these may need to be looked up individually.
Using google reverse search and some key words, I found some links that may be of benefit.
For the Swan one

@always-a-trade-off-u-kSize is 1″ x 5″
The Swan One is in fact a box of English matches that I used for scale, something virtually everyone in the UK would recognise, sorry my mistake !
Maybe I should have thought this through a little more when I took the photo and included a rule as a guide doh !! lesson learnt

Most likely the LR xxx badges are from BMC Laird trucks. You can see the badge on the front of this truck at the top left most photo on this page https://www.pinterest.se/pin/368521181980245051/
The BX and FG badges may be from trucks too, but i haven’t found any matches.

Most of these are from the 1960s BMC Laird lorries.

LR 1825 https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4f/b4/9b/4fb49b8816965596edc806f5fd71f804.jpg
(not sure if I got that one right, but it’s very similar)LR 1800 https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a2/85/48/a285482eaa1e5ae7411c2f51c840444e.jpg
And the BX 1200 is from the 1970s Leyland Boxer https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4412/36002506820_e51d6e7c63_b.jpg
You have to remember your search keys. In the UK, they’re not called trucks. They’re called lorries. 😉

@always-a-trade-off-u-kThank you for the compliment Jay.
I have great hope for these badges If I can find the right buyer, they are (as my father would of said) as “rare as hens teeth”
Everytime I go out scavenging always buy sure fire “winners” when I see them, however If things are cheap I always buy some “wild cards” if the price is right for “Failure is Success If We Learn From It” and if they dont or are worth nothing I just put them on my stall at the flea market (car boot sale) and recoupe some or all of the cost.
