Sold two brand new shirts (very collectable) to Japan through GSP.
They received the order through GSP, confirmed.
Immediately same buyer made an identical purchase, through GSP.
The day I shipped the order:
They wanted to return the first order. Fake photos of shirts I never sent, with stains.
I offered to work with them. They ignored my request. Keep in mind this buyer had negotiated with me for both sales… they wanted me to send the shipments direct, but told them I only use GSP.
I called Ebay… was told I had to pay for shipping from Japan to USA. What was the point of using the GSP? The pictures weren’t the shirts I sent and they just bought two more (my last two)! I called Ebay many times… no help so I refunded fully, they kept the shirts. Not worth the trouble.
Now the buyer is putting in a return for the second order. Same fake reason.
I accepted the return, and refused to upload a label – reason for not uploading a label, just left it blank. I called Ebay, completely lost my cool with them I was told there was nothing they can do.
Just received the dreaded Email that I am at risk for being ‘below standard’. I am so angry right now… ;-( -

Honestly, I don’t believe they know the difference between international and domestic, gsp vs first class mail. They are reading from a script. First thing I mentioned on today’s call was the fact that this was the gsp. Five minutes into the call, ‘Oh, this is global shipping? Ohhh… ‘ still could do nothing for me. No supervisor available. I lost it.
I have been doing this for a good long while now… I have never been this upset with Ebay. Wrong info, opening up cases when I just called for information from them… No protection.
I tried to just refunded with this idiot so I wouldn’t get upset like this… then they do it again?? I have to purchase a return label from japan or give the buyer another refund?? ($110 each order). ‘Well, you can report the buyer’. Big help.
Thanks for letting me vent. Is there any recourse here? I accepted the second return and refused to upload a return label.

If the shirts are not what you sent I believe that is a GSP issue. GSP is supposed to inspect items and if they send the wrong shirts to Japan that’s their problem. You are only responsible for getting them safely to Kentucky. I am sure this is incredibly frustrating to you. The only think I can think of is to read the GSP rules again and call them back and read their rules to them re-iterating that since the correct shirts made it to Kentucky it’s not your issue. I would also try to dispute the first refund but I don’t know if you can since they gave you the wrong info. I know the buyer may be scamming and using the wrong shirts and GSP probably sent the correct shirts but it might be worth a try… Maybe if ebay’s money is on the line they will be more interested in stepping in. 🙂 I’m sorry Ebay has been pretty stressful for all of us this last month. Hopefully July will calm down.

Elle, I appreciate this message. Very stressful.
The first order they stated INAD and checked wrong item sent. Then said the shirts were stained. Now they are doing the exact same thing (no pictures this time)
I accepted the return, but would NOT upload a shipping label from Japan to the USA and did not state a reason, reported the buyer. I don’t know what happens next. I should have not given in on the first batch and done the same thing, instead fully refunded, they kept the shirts. Trying to do it again…
I assumed there was some protection using GSP. What is seller protection if not for this??

Update: I refunded the scammer on the 2nd order, too. Ebay was not going to back me. I just had to eat it. Really ruined my summer. 😉
