I had one of my lowest listing weeks in quite a while, just 16 items scattered across the week with 3 goose egg listing days, and my sales were lower than my norm…but not really as low as you might expect. An end, reprice and sell similar campaign from the previous week helped move a few longer tail items, and I was pretty open to accepting any decent offers that came my way.
The oldest item I sold was this Brett Favre crystal statue for $30, or $18.12 net. I bought 4 of these for the $0.99 opening bid (maybe $2.50 at most) around two or three years ago and all four of them sold to buyers in Wisconsin, home of the team Favre is most associated with, the Green Bay Packers. The others have been sold a while, but I found this one sitting on a shelf during my spring cleaning. I’m glad that these have all found a home where they’ll presumably be displayed and appreciated — or maybe resold. Sometimes we’re the middleman, and that’s ok too.
Another item headed back to Wisconsin where it rightly belongs is this signed Pat Listach Milwaukee Brewers jersey for $39.00 plus shipping, or $30.35 net. This was purchased on May 9th for $10. I listed a few more signed full-size jerseys this weekend so I’m hopeful that will lead to a few sales in next week’s thread.
This US Open flag signed by golfer Si Woo Kim felt like a disappointing sale at $52 plus shipping since there are a few in Terapeak at the $100 range, but I’ve had it listed for half a year now with no nibbles. I bought it back in March for $5, which is about 1/3 of what I thought that I had paid. So now that I’m looking at the numbers, I’m actually thrilled with the sale. Funny how that works.
On the trading card side of things, I sold another soccer printing plate set in the $50 range. It’s the tenth set I’ve sold. Still a box full of them left. I bet I can sell the sets in that box off quickly with a discount in the 40% range. Probably something I’ll consider in a month or so.
More footy cards: this Robert Lewandowski net relic card cost me $5 for a lot of three, and I sold this first one for $38.77 after all fees. One of the cards had slight damage, so that one’s in a box for my next consignment shipment. But even if I only get $20 for it, I’ll still end up with a net profit of around $100. This is a perfect example why I love hunting for small lots of the same (or similar) unique cards. Lots of money to be made if you do your research and you’re patient.
This was my favorite small lot sale of the week, 10 assorted women’s basketball cards with a Caitlin Clark featured. Prior to the last few years, the production of women’s basketball cards was spotty at best, maybe one or two sets a year. But things are getting better, which will make it easier for me to put together cost effective lots where I make a small profit. Nothing crazy, but it helps to have a dozen or so sales every week with a reliable $10 to $20 profit.
What did you sell this week?

VOLCOM WORKWEAR Men’s Chill Skate Composite Toe Work Shoes Black Size 11 W Dude
These were technically free. Every year my day job brings a work boot truck on site and they give us a voucher for free safety toe shoes. The catch is that only like 4 pair are “free” and our voucher knocks $100 off of any of the shoes that are higher end. I can’t wear any of the low end “free” shoes in the foundry and their “discounted” shoes are a ripoff. I always get the best pair I can in the free section and list them on ebay. I took an offer of $75 on these.

PlayStation 2 PS2 Game Bundle Lot Of 8 Games GTA Pacman Splinter Cell SOCOM
Sold for full price. I have about $3 in these. My current method with video games when I get in a lot of them is to scan them in pricecharting to find the ones worth $10+. Anything less than that gets lotted up like these. I’ll also do case swaps if the cheap games have nicer cases.

Vintage Rickie Freeman Teri Jon Green Skirt Long Jacket Suit Size 6
I’ve had this one listed for a while. Glad to be rid of it! Sold for full price. Nice!

I had many lower price sales last week, so not much to talk about.
I’m not sure why someone in the UK would want me to ship them an almost complete Kmart tool set, but this was my highest sale at $29.

I’m still working on getting shavers listed from an auction purchase at the beginning of the year. I paid too much, but at least they have a good sell through rate. It is a pain to hand wash and then wipe them with isopropanol. This Supply brand one sold for $23.
