I had a slow week of sales with just 17 sold items even though I created 43 listings, the most I’ve completed in one week since late August. No $100+ individual solds, but I sold 4 Leaf soccer printing plate card sets to the same buyer and netted almost exactly $100 for the four. I’ve sold 10 of these printing plate sets over the last two months for about $600 total, which means I’m in the black on my original purchase. I still have 33 more plate sets listed plus two or three more which I sent to consignment. If I get real hungry for sales, I’m confident I can sell most of these at 25 to 40 percent off my BIN.
I’m a big fan of modern booklet memorabilia cards, and I sold this Baltimore Orioles National Treasures jersey booklet for a net of $42. Purchased for $19 on September 24th. Love the quick flips on a thicker than average card, it clears out some space in my box full of listed individual cards.
The one non trading card item that I sold this past week was this Chris Mason signed hockey puck which netted me $12.68. Purchased for $4 on June 16th, listed within the last few weeks. I have a postal bin full of signed memorabilia items to list with most of them in this $15 to $30 range, and I tend to slack on listing them. But nothing is as motivating as a fast sale.
What did you sell this week?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/235051396901 Super happy to finally sell this very old listing item. It was from one of the first estate sales I let myself go to, if not the first. Took forever but it’s a good feeling when something like that sells out of the blue.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/235406879460 Another nice sale last week from the $1 flea market guy. I gave my cousin in Bend the matching duvet and shams but the sheets still sold. I love sharing my finds with friends and family. In case you haven’t heard of it, Garnet Hill makes really super quality bedding. I don’t find it often. I gave my Polish friend a bunch of really cute serving dishes she saw on my instagram thrift haul.

Christine, I love both of those sales. If you remember, how long did you have those dishes listed and did you do any fiddling with repricing or promoted listings or just set and forget?
The orange/red contrast on that bedding is really visually striking and it’s good to know the Garnet Hill brand is high quality and not just colorful. Amazing to find something like that for $1!
One of the best things about reselling is finding these cool gifts for other people (or yourself) while you go about your regular scavenging and buying.

This is the second vintage work light of three that I’ve sold. They did not sell during the online auction, and no one wanted them when I offered on Freecycling. This one sold for $45.

My parents brought me these two Bose mini speakers when they visited in August. I asked my dad if he could verify the model name, and he said they had belonged to his friend. I asked the friend, and he had no knowledge of them. When you get older, your mind becomes mushy. Not sure who to thank, but they sold for $90.

This is one of those little things purchased in a large auction lot, but worth more than what I expected. It is a glass funnel made by Pyrex. Sold for $18, probably paid pennies.

About two years ago, I purchased several Great Courses CD sets from my library’s yearly book sale. This is the second one to sell. I bought them at $2 each. This is way too slow, but they did sell for $39. This year, I bought one cookbook for myself.

Sharyn, LOL at the story about the Bose speakers. Apparently you’ve got a little electronics elf leaving you presents! The elf has good taste if they’re leaving you Bose anything!
The Great Courses CDs were something I used to see quite frequently when I was a regular at library sales. I find them so interesting because I would think at this point most of the material is available online in one form or another, and it’s not like they are packaged in a special way like certain collectible DVD or CD sets. But there is usually decent value in physical media in any form when it is comprehensive, especially if it’s a complete set.

My library had a bunch of those great courses sets for $1 each. I passed on them because the sell through was sooooo bad.
