If my theme of February was not listing enough and sales tumbling because of it, then of course I’m still swimming in that swampy world as the calendar turns to March. I did 15 sales on eBay this week for about $600 gross and $400 net. Aside from the low volume, I’m pretty happy with what sold. 3 oddball items (discussed) below, 8 individual cards (7 of which were listed less than a month) and 4 of my curated team lots, which each sold for $30 and up putting them in the $15 to $20 profit margin range. If I stay on a consistent listing schedule, I should be able to get back to $1000 sales weeks sooner rather than later. Consistency with eBay also isn’t really the first priority in my reselling business (or life) right now, so my sales might continue to go up and down throughout the spring…and that’s ok too!
Now for this week’s oddball sales:
This 8×10 signed by 90s star outfielder Juan Gonzalez only cost me a few bucks, so $11 net isn’t too bad. The buyer sent me a message asking to rescan because my original image was terrible, so when I did that, I sent them an offer which they immediately accepted. Score another victory for send offers feature!
This authenticated Penn State football ticket stub was another couple bucks to $11 net. Buyer must have found the item from when I ran it at auction a month and a half ago, because when they sent me their offer, they used the auction minimum bid price to make their offer. Downside of running auctions, I suppose. But I’m a firm believer that with low COGS, low price ceiling stuff, you don’t need to get top dollar every time. It’s more important to get things sold, manage your inventory and list new things that will sell.
My highest priced item this week was this Taurean Prince NBA All Star Game locker room nameplate. Bought in January 2024 for $17.50, sold this past weekend for full price of $59.99. This sold about five minutes after I did sell similar on the $59.99 items in my store. No price changes, no editing, just end and sell similar. I bought five or six of these locker room nameplates and it was a very profitable pipeline, in the ballpark of something like $150 COGS to $500 net.
What did you sell this week?

I haven’t been consistently listing either but I did start working my taxes.
I sold both sets of Denby plates I talked about in the scavenge of the week posts, so that didn’t take long.
Best sale was this painting, and it’s been listed a while. Buyer was quite a haggler. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235819204348
