Back to back weeks with a locker room nameplate sale for over $100, this time for San Antonio Spurs DeMar DeRozan. Net was $114 and my COGS was $45. I have 4 more nameplates left and even if they only sell for half my BIN price, I’ll clear $250 profit on the lot.
My primary focus over the last few weeks has been on small team-based trading card lots, which are now about 1/3 of my total listings. But one of my most successful lot listings hasn’t been team based at all: it’s a Caitlin Clark base card + 9 other women’s hoops cards. Caitlin Clark is the rare combination of transcendent athlete plus very few cards, since she was in college until just a month ago, so even her college base cards (normally worthless) sell for a few bucks individually. But I like to sell 10 cards for $25 to $30 much more. Now that I’ve gotten my inventory much more organized, I can crank out these lots pretty quickly. I sold 3 lots with a Caitlin Clark card in May and 5 so far in June. Can I get to 7 by the end of the month, and if so I wonder what that number will be in July.
I picked up a nice cache of Elvis Presley memorabilia cards from a consignment seller who accepted my sorta-lowball offer on a bundle of cards, and sold a warm up suit card and Japanese kimono card to the same buyer this weekend for double what I paid. Going to list two more tomorrow and hopefully they’ll be part of my post in next week’s thread!

So last summer I picked up 2 of these new in package chest protectors at a yard sale for $5 each. Sold them for $30-40 each and thought “boy I wish I had more of those”. Last weekend ended up at the same yard sale and lo and behold – they had 3 more! Already sold one. The seller said to me she hoped I would show up again this year and I did. LOL!

Vampire The Masquerade 1992 White Wolf Storytelling Game Rpg Horror Role Playing
Ah, this is a nice memory. One of my first ever all-in yard sale hauls. I bought an entire bookshelf of White Wolf Role playing books for $1-2 each WAY back in 2016/2017. Over 100 books. I made a TON between amazon and ebay. This one was tucked away in a death pile bin I pulled out and listed last summer. Sold for full price.

Those sandals look very comfortable, which is probably a key factor in a lot of $50 high sell-through clothing items.
I’m not sure if chest protector lady is a mom who’s really supportive of her son’s Little League catching career (now retired) or part of a group of moms out there stealing from Dick’s Sporting Goods. I guess you’ll find out next year if you go back and she has 27 new in package chest protectors.
Love to see the vintage White Wolf books, always fun to find items like that and even better when you find 100 of them at once!
