This week (really the last week and a half) has left me with a lot of life stuff to take care and not enough time, with eBay not really a major priority at all, but now I have some time to take a look at the numbers. Better to do it late than not at all.
Somehow I sold 17 items last week for pretty average numbers, $700 gross and about $400 net before COGS. Considering that I only created 8 new listings last week, maybe my first single-digit new listing week ever, that’s not too bad at all!
The focus of my eBay store is still mostly my curated team lots. Those are selling with some consistency, so I will keep making them until they don’t. It helps that I have my unlisted inventory like 90% organized into labeled boxes now. In the past it was 50% organized, 50% in random boxes…maybe even more disorganized than that? I’ve seen the light now. Everything stays organized going forward. I’ve had the most success with these lots as I dig deeper and deeper into various niches. Take this Uconn Huskies women’s basketball card lot. Just about every card in those pictures was manufactured in the last few years, and I’ve bought most of those cards in the last few months as I’ve learned more about which lots and which don’t. $1.50 here, $2.10 there, sometimes less than a buck, very occasionally I’ll spend $3 to $5 for the right feature card. The lot sold for $33.99, which was a 20% offer to a buyer, and my net was $29.10. The buyer gets 10 cards of their team without buying from different sellers or searching different sites. I already have a new lot of Uconn women’s basketball listed. Everyone is happy. If only every team sold as fast as Uconn basketball…
I have a box of signed baseballs and hockey pucks and other smalls which hasn’t gotten much action lately, but I dug out this Yannick Weber signed puck last week. Net $14 and hey, it only cost me $3. Purchased last June.
This Billy Herman signed 1941 Dodgers scorecard was a pretty recent scavenge and sold for $39.99, a 20% offer which obviously seems to be theme of this week’s sales. I paid $14 for it in March, so all in all, about what I hoped for.

It was just a solid week of sales. Nothing too earth shattering but my non- home run items were solid in the $30-40 range.

a premium hoarder item. I actually let these sit for a long time as I initially thought they were fake. While organizing they popped up and I threw them up on eBay. Sold fairly quickly. My buy cost was $20.
