My eBay sales remain mostly lackluster, which is to be expected considering how often I’m listing (20ish items per week), but I managed to crack $1000 gross last week mostly on the strength of one $450 sale. That card is meandering its way through eBay’s authentication program, so I’ll save it for next week’s post.
Other than that, my week was the usual run of $20 net 10 card team lots. I’ve gotten to a point with organizing my inventory that I can start working on listing two lots per team, when it makes sense. Some teams like Penn State football I can barely keep in stock.
This DJ Skee Fernando Tatis Jr. card inspired by the show Stranger Things was a quick $15 profit, sold in less than two weeks. Same margin on this baseball signed by Ryan Zimmerman, the longtime third baseman for the Washington Nationals. And one more: this Thurman Munson card with a piece of Yankee Stadium seat. I haven’t been listing these types of items much at all recently, instead putting them in my boxes to send to consignment. But it’s always good to see what sells better on eBay versus consignment. It’s a little reminder that AI isn’t going to steal our reselling jobs anytime soon!
What did you sell this week?

I had a pretty good mix of sales this week.

Hasbro Power Rangers TYRANNOSAURUS REX DINOZORD Megazord 2020 MMPR
I have pretty much nothing in this. It was from a big box of power rangers misc toys that was a pile throw in last summer at a yard sale. I have a pretty good process for listing lots like this now. Use google image search to get my keywords, do a search to determine ASP and STR. List individually if worth it, set aside if not. This one was clearly worth it.
Then at the end the pile I have that is unlisted I’ll either list a bulk lot or just donate it if it is junk.

Ralph Lauren Womens 10 B Carley Driving Loafers Red Ostrich Leather Shoes
Took a while to sell but I got full price. Paid $3 at a yard sale where I bought a ton of women’s shoes. There were 5 different pair of this model and I think they’ve all sold now.

Miami Dolphins Dan Marino Football Jersey #13 Size 52 XL Starter NFL 1995 Vtg
Cool jersey I paid $1 at a yard sale.

Pioneer SA-1520 Stereo Amplifier & TX-1302Z Digital Synthesizer Tuner TESTED
So I’ve had this console system sitting in my way at the edge of my ebay work desk for YEARS. About 2 years ago I tested everything to list it….then didn’t. I was using the amp to power my record player to test records for a while but I haven’t done that…again…in at least 2 years.
So last weekend I was in a wild hair to list all the stuff in my way and all these components made the cut. I sold it…YAY…but now I have to ship it…booo! It actually wasn’t too bad. I padded the crap out of the amp and floated the tuner in it’s own box. I figure UPS will destroy it no matter how well I pack. It arrives tomorrow so we’ll see! Damaged or not, it’s gone and won’t be coming back.

Vintage Side Zip Ankle Boots Men’s Size 6.5 M Black Leather Lift Insoles
Sold on offer for $60. Paid $7 at Goodwill. No brand – no problem! I love selling these old “beatle boots”. They’re probably Florsheim but if I can’t prove it, I don’t put it in my listing.

Nike Marshall Herd Ahmad Bradshaw Football Jersey Number 44 Size L Vintage Mesh
I love picking up Marshall gear locally. Paid $4 at Goodwill.

Enter The Kettlebell Strength Secret Of The Soviet Supermen DVD Rare OOP Pavel
Sold this one quick. It’s nothing special as a sale, but the content is awesome. I was an avid kettlebell user before I got sick with Covid and studied this material alot. Having a knowledgeable trainer is a requirement though.
I had an coworker teach me initially. We just went out in the grass on lunch time and I SPECTACULARLY blew out the seat of my khakis the first time I properly did a swing. Fortunately I had an extra pair of pants in my car. I then made sure to wear flexible pants from then on out.
I REALLY need to get back to it. The whole video is on youtube for free, but alot of people like buying the media in case it gets taken down.
