Question about cancelling a bought and paid for purchase....

  Hello all… was wondering what you guys would do? I sold a set of manga books to someone in Australia. All is paid through global shipping…. i go to pack them this morning and book 27 is missing out of the set of 1-27. I messaged the buyer and asked if they wanted me to cancel their order or send it and refund them the value of the book. I haven’t heard back from them in 2 days.
  
  This was an $800 purchase and I really do not want to lose the sale. Should I just send them out and refund or cancel or wait a few more days?
  
  Any advise would be greatly appreciated! thank you Liz (cat mom)

  Usually I’d say send it out, but this is an $800 purchase and not sure if a complete set is what makes it so valuable.
  
  Danger is you mail it, but the buyer eventually says they don’t want it because its Item Not as Described. You’ll need to accept a return and pay the GSP shipping both ways.

  You have to time bind your issue. Tell them “ if I don’t hear from you in the next 24 hours I’ll have to cancel the order as I can’t follow through without your approval. Thanks. “

  Htwown Tex… the book is available on ebay for about $30 +- . I haven’t heard back from the buyer but I think I am going to send out volumes 1-26 with a note to contact me about refunding the difference. Even with 27 volumes, they aren’t a complete set. They go up to 35.

  You are asking for trouble with an international order. If they file an inad you could possibly be out all of your money.
  I highly recommend you do not go ahead and ship.

  Update! got up this morning planning to cancel the order and found a message in my inbox telling me to ship the book and just issue a $30 refund! It paid to just wait a few days to hear back from the buyer… now what the heck happened to that book!
