Forgive me if there is a thread out there for this. I could not find it if there is. I have recently been moving around some inventory, and am finding a number of things that I THOUGHT were listed, that WERE listed, but as I handle them think, hmmm…, I don’t recall seeing this in my active listings lately and upon checking, sure enough! No longer there! And who knows for how long! Never showed up as unsold, taken down, etc. Just gone. I especially thought of J & R moving all that inventory to a new warehouse. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Other sellers have complained of this. We’ve never noticed missing inventory that we though was listed but wasn’t.
Do you list “good till cancelled”?
Or end the listings every 30 days and relist as “new”. -

I’m having to exact same problem. I always list ‘good until canceled’. I spent today working on listings and by chance noticed that many items I thought were listed are NOT. The thought of going through my entire inventory and relisting all this stuff makes me want to vomit.

Can you give us a sense of scale? How many items have you looked through and how many were unlisted?

Do you save your old emails from eBay? If so, you could try searching for any messages that mention the missing items.
If that doesn’t work, I’d suggest calling eBay and seeing if they can tell you what happened.

Are you by any chance doing all of your work on the app? If you are, try looking at them in a browser. The app doesn’t show anywhere near all the items anymore (and today doesn’t show that I have any active items even though I have 650).

Hi All, I’ve been working on consolidating my inventory this week. Have plenty of time since I don’t need to be -ahem – shipping out any sales this week. I’ve noticed quite a few missing listings that have dropped off. I only do good til cancelled, and don’t relist every 30 days. They are not vero things either. Not sure what happened but I’ve found three today. Luckily I have the photos in the Pinterest links. Just thought I would share this in case you have the occasion to check out your inventory.

Other sellers who have gone through their inventory have mentioned missing items.
Can you give us a sense of how big your inventory is and how many were missing?

About 2% of my items. I’ve noticed several missing two or three different times. So, less than 2% of what I have ever listed because some listings have been sold without incident. One of the newest missing was a very expensive item though, so glad I picked that up.

ChristineR, I’m also going through my listings and doing inventory this week for the same, ahem, reasons you are. I also have missing listings. I don’t have enough of a handle on my inventory to be able to track down what is going on though.

I just found out last week that I’ve got a few items missing too! I was scratching my head about it, so this thread is very timely for me.
Jay, in answer to your questions, inventory approx 500, found 3 missing items so far. I’ve not done a full-depth scan of all my listings, so cannot tell you if that’s all that’s missing or just all I’ve found so far. About 150 listings are GTC, the others are all 30-day. However, the missing items were all in the GTC section.

I’d love to know the numbers after a full scan. If you have under 10 items missing out of 500, then that 1% is small enough where the issue could just be user error.
If we’re talking 5-10% missing, then that’s a big enough problem to be an error in the system somewhere.

I’m getting down to the bottom of my retail arbitrage inventory and noticed that some of my last expensive bedding has disappeared from Ebay. I don’t sell similar. Again, it’s not a huge part of my inventory missing but a bummer because it’s summer / tropical bedding and I have no idea how long it’s been down. Just a head’s up.
