Two nights ago, I woke up and I could not fall asleep so I scrolled through craigslist for deals.
There was a listing earlier in the week for wine boxes that I really wanted, they were free. I tried reaching the lister three times and gave up. As I was scrolling this time, the ad was there AGAIN! It had been updated a couple of hours before. Said the items were on the curb!
Did I get out of bed, get in my car, drive 40 min round trip to get them? You bet I did!!!
I picked up 45 of the 100 boxes, left the rest for someone else to take (I did not want to be greedy since my car was already full) and if I am right, I have about $1200.00 worth of sales waiting to happen.
PS: I did change my mind and went back in the early AM to get the other boxes. GONE!!!!

I can relate. Knowing a good scavenger opportunity is just sitting there will keep me up at night.

Jay, totally!!! No way was I going to fall asleep, there was not choice but to go and get the boxes.
Ryanne, yes, black lacquered wood (like a piano), really nice, brand new.
Sometimes people don’t answer on CL listings when the item is gone or they get overwhelmed with emails. But sometimes it is totally strange when the item is still up and no answer.

I frequently post things up on Craigslist and have been noticing a lot of the responses/replies end up landing in my spam folder lately.
Never noticed a problem before until last fall. Put something up that I figured should have at least 10 replies…and nothing. Checked my spam folder a day later just in case, and there they were.

Yes, I have worried about the same thing and once I sent a reply to a post from two different emails just to be sure. The person answered me and assured me that neither one went to spam, but I still worry about it.
