The other day I did some descriptions with dictation in the app and thought maybe I should try skipping the computer stage and list strictly in the app to try and speed up listing. I haven’t used Terapeak in the app yet. Is anyone doing that? I heard it’s not super easy to get to quickly and I don’t think you can do it inside the create listing field? I don’t trust the comps Ebay shows you on “how others priced it”.

I’ve tried it and it is easier with more refinement tools just to open terapeak in the browser.
The #1 absurdly basic missing tool for terapeak in the app? You can’t filter used/new! How do you miss that?
It’s been several years since ebay said they wanted to streamline listing in the app and the website so they are pretty much the same. Still not even close. There are things you can do in the app you can’t on desktop, and vice versa.
You STILL can’t lock down preferences for many of the fields.
You STILL can’t use templates in the app.
You can create copies of drafts in desktop but cannot filter/search drafts.
In the app you can filter/search, but cannot create copies.
Meanwhile they keep updating the app to require MORE clicks to do simple things that used to be one click.
I will list shoes and misc hard goods in the app all day, but the lack of templates in the app makes clothing a no-go for me – desktop only.

Thanks @Retro. I ran into a guy at the flea market and he said he only uses the app but he sells only used action figures as far as I know. I don’t do clothing but there might be more things besides bar code items I could try in the app. I do like how it prompts fewer item specifics but then I need to look at Terapeak for pricing. hm.
Meanwhile I found a good discussion on Facebook regarding the List Perfectly AI function. Some love it, others report inconveniences for Ebay. They did mention that you can stop and start it at anytime for a pro rated fee, which is nice since I have periods of less activity. I think I will wait until they work out some kinks before trying it.

I would love to be able to fly through listings in the app. I have a laptop where I do all my eBay work (buying and selling) and would love to shift some of that to the phone, so I could work more on the go and be in front of the computer less.
But functionality for everything I use for eBay is so much worse on the phone. It would take me so much longer to use Gixen, my favorite bid sniper program because it’s so much easier to copy and paste item numbers in multiple tabs. And as Retro said, templates are a no-go in the eBay app. Plus looking up prices in Terapeak is so much easier in a browser.
What are other selling apps like? Etsy? Mercari? I’ve used them as a buyer but never as a seller.

You could always get a tablet to do ebay in browser on the go.
being able to touch some of the buttons rather than mouse clicks and combining that with dictation can really get the speeds up.

Yeah I think Terapeak needs to pop up in the listing page for me to truly consider switching over. I list and photo in the room with my desktop so I guess I could try doing it for a few items and researching on the desktop while listing on the phone. Right now I am doing it just for barcoded items, though on older NIP items Ebay struggles often to find vintage barcodes. Since they are laying off customer service people I hope they can invest in tech people going forward. Mainly it’s frustrating what their priorities seem to be. It’s so much faster to list on the newer platforms.
Very streamlined! I can make a listing on Mercari in 1-2 minutes and it will autofill things with simple click buttons for the rest. They show you “what other sellers are charging”, which seems to be a little more accurate than Ebay’s comps in that function.
The Nurse Flipper is going to review the AI List Perfectly function after using it one month, but so far she reports that the cross-listing is going much faster. I’m wanting to hear from her more about how it does with Ebay from a photo.
