We no longer have a dash in our view counter for items. All items actually have a number.
Do others see this?

Yep, looks fixed. I think I’d prefer it be broken again though. A lot of my newer listings have 0 views. Ouch…

I just checked, and I still have dashes. I’ve been noticing that half the time I get correct view counts, and half the time I get dashes. It’s been on and off working for the past two week or so.

I still have the dashes as well. Other things I have noticed: impressions in my store are at 0, I have handling time set for 1 day on all my items, yet when they sell several will not say ship within 24 hours but will have the ship by date a day later. There are probably other things that I have not noticed, but it seems everything (sales, offers, questions) are slower than normal, even for this time of year.

For me: sometimes numbers, sometimes dashes.

My view numbers sometimes are lower than number of watchers.
Hard to tell if any numbers are correct, I had one item just listed that showed over 1200 views after an hour, next day 0. -

I have one item with 4 views and 5 watchers. hm.

I have Google Analytics tied to about 40% of my listings for real-time visitor stats. It’s not the easiest to set up, but once you’ve got it going it’s just 5 to 10 seconds of extra work per listing. The stats eBay gives me don’t update for weeks sometimes, so I had to go engineer my own solution. If people are interested I could write up a guide on how to do it, but there’s no easy way to add the tracking to existing listings.

I’d like to hear how you set up Google Analytics on eBay items.
I’d also love to hear what kind of stats you see for items. Where does youre traffic come from?

I’ll see what kind of tutorial I can set up for Google Analytics. Unfortunately it does require some knowledge of the command line/terminal, although I’ll see if there’s a way around that.
The stats you get from it are rather basic:
* What item a visitor is looking at.
* How long they’ve been looking at it (unsure of accuracy here.)
* Where the visitor is from (in the world.)This data can then be used to do the traditional “timeline” of views like you see on eBay, but you can also drill down to see what items people were browsing at what time of day. Back when it was easier to run sales, I’d check my analytics for the daily “drop off” in visitors and time the sale to end one hour after that.
It’s worth noting that the method of getting these stats doesn’t use any kind of “active” content, so it’s entirely undetectable by eBay.
I’ll see if I have time this weekend to chop together a video showing how to implement it!

A mix of mostly dashes and a few numbers here. I thought this was maybe because I’m using an old Operating System (and therefore old Firefox 48.0.2) on my desktop Mac. Are users of all the latest Systems experiencing the dash situation?
But then, a recently listed item shows 4 views on my outdated computer OS, yet shows Zero views on my updated iPhone. So not sure the outdated OS scenario has any merit…
Troubleshooting Fun!

When I do get actual numbers in the Views column, the number seems to be incorrect for older listings – specifically ones over a year old. For example, I know I had at the very least 20-30 views on a vintage sweater I listed in spring 2017, if not more. Now it shows only 4 views.

PS – but this is not the case for all old listings. Just some.

Views seems to be broken again.
I put an item up 2 days ago that I kind of want to keep. I’ve been casually watching views in hopes that no one else is interested in it so I can justify taking it down and keeping it (even though I probably won’t use it, which is why I decided to go ahead and list it).
Yesterday it had many more views than it does today.I can’t speak to any other items because I haven’t been keeping track.
