I’ve feel like I’ve had the best week since starting 3 years ago. I’ve almost hit my monthly average in 9 days! I had a good Dec but Nov was slower than I expected but things seems headed in the right direction so far. Now I just need to keep up!
Is everyone else pretty busy?

Things are steady. January always seem decent because people are spending holiday money and buying things for themselves that they didnt get at Xmas.
Glad your sales are up!

Great so far! 24 sales in nine days. I usually 1-2 per day, so this is great. I’ve been going pretty hard at listing, but it’s mostly older listings (1yr+) that seem to be moving.
Pushing myself harder this year, and managed to get around 80 new listings up this past weekend. Just got to keep up the momentum.

We are still steady going starting out the year. We usually stay pretty steady until the end of March or so until Spring Break/Summer Slowdown.

I’ve slowed down the beginning of this year with the listings. Back in September we did a big push and got close to 1000 items listed, had a tremendous sales period because of the extra volume (we don’t usually go over 200 items listed at any time), but got burned out trying to mail items and working two full time jobs. Made lots of cash, but had zero free time for about 3 months.
We’re back down to a more manageable 150ish items up giving us some free time to catch up on relaxing! I wouldn’t do a big push before the holidays again – I think my limit is to stick to only having around 100 items up at a time which usually results in 1-3 sales a day that is manageable to ship in 30 minutes or less in the morning.
However, it gives me a good idea of what I can handle going full time with a large volume – having 2000 items up seems like a goal next time I’m out of work or retired.

I’ve also had one of my best selling times in the weeks since Christmas — selling about double of what I had been before that. Not sure if it’s the time of year or the fact that I’m finally getting close to 1000 items in inventory. It just slowed down yesterday — hope that’s not a trend!

I’m not selling my new RA items this month like I did last year when I felt like people were shopping for themselves or with Christmas gift money. The most recently listed items are selling for me lately in my small store. Earlier this month it was items I marked down to move out.

My 2018 is starting out fantastic! I thought I did really well last January. This year, I’ve already surpassed my total sales of the whole month of Jan 2017. And I’ve started the year with fresh optimism. 2017 was rife with personal hardships. I feel that 2018 will be different, I just know it.

After neglecting my store, more or less by design, throughout December, I’m having a slow January. In addition to slow sales, I haven’t found anything really interesting in quite a while, and have also had several sales get canceled right after purchase (to the tune of about $300.) I think with some fun finds and some fresh listings, I’ll be back on track soon. eBay reports that I’m ahead over this week last January, but I think it’s counting those canceled sales.
Fortunately, my 30-hour-a-week job continues to be emotionally (& to a much lesser extent, financially) rewarding, so that’s helping keep my spirits up. I’m off to the thrift now and hoping for a good score.

So the day after my previous post, I had five sales in a single day (super-unusual for me!) and earned as much in one day on eBay as I did all week at work (although I don’t earn much at work!) I also found some pretty interesting art pottery at my favorite local thrift. Then, this morning, I sold a bolt of fabric for $150. Feeling very much back on track and have been listing on and off all day to celebrate.

Unlike everyone else I’ve had an extremely slow January which worries me (down 77% from this time last year). With about 1075 items (I primarily sell clothing) the most I’ve ever had…no offers, no sales. This week I sold 1 pair of sunglasses. Yikes. Hope the tide turns for me.
