This house is being advertised for $550,000 fully furnished including the car. There are 70 (not a typo) photographs and it is packed FULL of stuff.
Wonder why they will only show on sunny days?

Wowzers!
I keep trying to respond but don’t quite have the words… -

There aren’t enough words in all the dictionaries of the universe to describe that house.

It certainly doesn’t appeal to my sense of style. Like the things we sell on eBay, that real estate agent is going to have to list it and wait until the right buyer comes along.

Yes! That’s it! That’s the right phrase! It’s a “long tail” house!!

I think their strategy of only selling on sunny days is to blind you straight off in the mirrored room, so you won’t see the rest of the house.

Meh. There’s one in every neighborhood, isn’t there? Well, no. Pretty unique, I’d say.
I would naturally try to picture the owner(s) but I don’t think I want to go there.

I wouldn’t want to live there, but I wish I had been invited to the parties that were thrown there

I’m gonna have nightmares after seeing the room with the 3D cherubs on the wall and the creepy gold clowns sitting at the table.

As to the sunny days thing…
Before we bought the house we are currently in, we considered making an offer on another house. We toured it on a nice day and loved it. We pondered it, and decided to come back for a second viewing just to look it over one more time before putting in our offer. The followup viewing was on a very rainy day.
At the seond viewing the house REEKED of the most horrible dog smells you could imagine. We ended up talking to a neighbor who said the previous owner operated a puppy mill out of the house. It wasn’t just bad, it was overwhelming throughout the house. The added moisture from the rains brought out what was lurking beneath.
I am sooo glad we went back on a rainy day. It would have sucked to have been stuck with that.

I don’t know, there is something kinda cool about that house. Not that I would EVER live there. But, If I was in town, I might like to visit.

not sure “the right buyer” exists for this house.

Is that shag carpet ceiling in the wood paneled room? You’ve gotta admit, that’s one unique house.

That’s only about a 20 minute drive from my house, I’m so tempted to go see it…

According to the listing, you have to bring proof that you can afford the house, or something like that. But, if you can figure that out, the first hand experience would be great to hear about!

Wow, must be some, er, interesting people who live there. First I laughed, then I had to wonder at the statuary fetish.

Not as good as a first hand account, but they did a story on channel 7 news here in Detroit with the owner talking a little bit about the house.

I’m amazed at how clean and orderly it looks despite the sheer amount of stuff. I don’t know how one would sleep with those statues lurking around you. Hope the owner finds someone who appreciates his vision.

“Moderation has its place, and it’s not here”. Gotta agree with that statement!!
I had figured that someone had passed away, and that was why the house was being sold with all its contents. I’m glad to see it is just someone who is planning for old age, and he is just ready to pass on his belongings to someone else.
