I have to vent that I really hate how ebay handles new item specifics and already listed items. The one thing I hate more when working is touching things twice. Item specifics I KNOW were added when listed are suddenly not there anymore. It also seems they created new categories and now many items are in the wrong one, etc. I digress as this isn’t the point of the post.
The issue I have run into is after going into the edit screen and adding specifics and saving the listing that ebay is automatically adding international shipping and adding several countries without any user interaction (I ONLY use Global Shipping Program). I noticed this last week when I attempted to use their bulk download/upload feature. Today I decided to fix some while drinking coffee and the same thing is happening when done one by one. Not only was international shipping checked, but the item location was changed to a city I last lived in 3 years ago! SO. Now it has to be touched 3 TIMES!!!
This seems to happen most frequently with a category change. I was going to add a screenshot, but imgur required whitelisting of their site against add blocking, which I refuse to do, so if there is another way I can edit and add.

I feel your pain Joshua, lucky for me I only have 298 to do, I don’t understand why ebay couldn’t have fixed most of this themselves. I mean let’s say a listing reads “Guess Pants Color Blue Women’s Size 5″and I have to go in and put what dept it is? really? wow, just wow

What is even worse, is most of the time in your example the item is ALREADY in the category they are asking for the department. Why is there even a Department specific in Women’s Jeans or Men’s Jeans? Why would you EVER choose Men’s in the Women’s Jeans category???
Anyway, I am more upset about the new bug I mentioned. I do not ever want to send international direct.

yep that was one of my gripes as well. clothing item in a womens clothing ebay category, but ebay didn’t auto fill it as Department: Women, WHYYYYYYY?
also many old ebay suggested specifics are now spelled differently, but instead of ebay converting them, I have to do them manually. examples: Multi-color is now Multicolor, Oxfords are now Oxford. Wingtips are now Brogues. ebay!

I sent feedback today in sheer frustration. New listings that I just put up last week are “recommending” item specifics changes. I’ve been ULTRA careful to complete all specifics, but some are blank because I don’t have an answer. Either they’re requesting specifics to which I have no answer, or to which I’ve already entered an answer.
Besides, in all honesty, who searches shoes by lining material? I’d lay a monkey not enough people to actually warrant that level of detail!

I’ve been delaying updating the missing item specifics on most of our listings in hopes that ebay is working on things, and can reduce the number of obvious/redundant specifics that we need to update.
Not sure how long I’m going to hold out, but MAN some of these are painful (like Ryanne’s women’s clothing example).
