Finally connected my Credit Card to all shipping costs to get travel points!

Been wanting to do this for years, but was too lazy 😂

Connected an empty Paypal account to eBay for shipping labels. Made sure my credit card was the preferred method of payment for online transactions on that PP account. Unlinked my original Paypal account that I need to have a balance on sometimes (revoked 3rd party access, this was the most hidden link, had to google it for way too long). Switched from using Pending Payouts for shipping labels over to Paypal (hence my hesitation, this was quite a process and wasn’t sure I even did it right, but alas, it worked).

Also hooked up Pirate Ship to my preferred Credit Card w travel points.

Hurrah. Finally.

Did this a couple of months ago. I’m absolutely farming points! I settle for cash back since I don’t travel much.

I use a Hilton Amex. I get 9 points per $1 for shipping…if the shipping service is classified as shipping. Pirate ship is. eBay shipping sadly is not. I’ve asked eBay for business to get it fixed.
i’ve been staying for free at embassy suites every since I got that Amex card.

Hey Ryanne! How did you find the place to switch shipping to be taken out of PayPal instead of pending payouts? I have been digging trying to find the right section but have come up empty.

It’s on the shipping label page at the bottom when you go to print a label. You can switch between Pending Payouts or Paypal account. Once you choose one, it stays on that choice.

Credit card points are considered a “discount” given and not taxed.

Generally credit card rewards are not taxable.
