OOPS.
I had an upset buyer. Told him to return the item, he returned it broken. Offered partial refund, got negative feedback.
HERES WHERE I MESSED UP.
I wrote a quick message to “Ebay” asking for “Feedback revision”, sent it, then got a message that it was sent to BUYER and he had 10 days to respond. Oops.
I meant to send it to feedback removal, which actually does go to Ebay. Sent one to ebay right away, ebay removed the feedback, all good.
Buyer is already on my block list, so I’m assuming he can’t respond to me, but can he like call ebay and have his feedback reinstated? Big oof on my part.

“Buyer is already on my block list, so I’m assuming he can’t respond to me,”
If you look closely at what it says in the UI for the block list (I only just did this recently, after years of using this feature), it just says that the blocked buyers can’t buy from you anymore. It doesn’t say anything about blocking their ability to send you messages.
<div class=”app-page-summary__title”><span class=”cc-text-spans–BOLD”>Blocked Buyer List</span></div>
<div class=”app-page-summary__details”>
<div class=”app-page-summary__block”>Set up a list of buyers who will no longer be able to bid on or purchase your listings. The list will apply to all your items. You can add or delete buyers at any time.</div>
<div></div>
<div>Block buyers from your listings
If you don’t wish to sell to certain eBay members, you can put them on your blocked list. Members on that list will be unable to bid, buy or make an offer on any of your listings until you remove them from the list. You can block up to 5000 User IDs.</div>

Hopefully this is easier to read:

I had a similar problem with a person who never bought anything to me , but sent me rude messages about my listings. Because I responded to his messages, he was able to continue sending more to me even after I put him on my blocked buyer list. I had to call eBay and have them remove all my replies from his messages so he could no longer respond to them.

Hey team,
if you go below the blocked buyer list, there’s a toggle you can switch to have them not contact you. It reads
”
<div class=”nodestar-textual-selection”><span class=”switch”><input class=”switch__control” role=”switch” checked=”checked” name=”doNotAllowBlockedBuyerToContact” type=”checkbox” aria-labelledby=”app-page-form-label-3 app-page-form-secondary-label-3″ /></span></div>
<span class=”app-page-form__switch-label”><label id=”app-page-form-label-3″ class=”app-page-form__label”><span class=”cc-text-spans–BOLD”>Don’t allow blocked buyers to contact me</span></label><span id=”app-page-form-secondary-label-3″ class=”app-page-form__subtext”>Buyer won’t see the “Contact Seller” button on your Questions and Answers page.” </span></span>I’m assuming this stops messages, because he didn’t respond to me, but he did “deny” the revision request. oops. lol.
