Hi. Sorry, possible newbie question but I’ve been searching for an answer for 2 hours and even called customer service and I cannot figure it out.
I have had 3 Sales so far this Month. The last one was 7 days ago. I know I only have 101 items (I’m working on building), but on average I’m use to getting at least 2 sales a week. I decided to check if I have any errors or recommendations on my listings.
Well, I can’t find where that is. I went to bulk editor (I think?) which says there aren’t any errors. I went to sellers hub, and it says there aren’t any recommendations. I log in on my IPAD, and guess what? 47 Item/Listing Recommendations (Missing Item Specifics).
I called customer service. The girl had no idea what I was talking about. She said just ignore the fact that there are recommendations on my IPAD’s Ebay Program. I can’t help but wonder if this is causing my items to not show. Can someone please tell me where to find item recommendations or errors (is it in bulk editor? is bulk editor just clicking on all of the listing and hitting edit?)
Thank you for your help. From your very frusterated friend, Liz.

With only 100 items in your store, going a week with no sales once in a while is not unheard of, so I wouldn’t worry about that too much – just keep listing.
The thing about the difference between ipad and web versions of ebay is a little troubling, but I can offer no insight on that. I use the website and never got any warnings for missing items specifics even though I know I have plenty that are missing. I just went into the bulk editor, and it reported 11 items with issues – but I’m sure there are more. Guess I’ll fix those 11 now.

Pretend you’re a customer and search for your own items. If they show up, they aren’t hidden.

There was an issue recently with clothes and item specifics. After the glitch, eBay stated that the issue should not affect placement of your items. However, you should go and fix any issues just in case.
Yes, the bulk editor is when you select more than one listing and click edit.
I can see “Invalid / missing product identifiers” under growth in the seller hub.
Whether you fix it on your iPad or on the computer, it will only help potential buyers find your item.
You can always make an offer, run a short sale, adjust descriptions or prices, etc. to help the probability to make a sale (or, at least to feel like you are doing something constructive). I think you need a store subscription to do some of these things.

I can’t keep up with what features are available with which selling plans. Do you get any results from this page? https://www.ebay.com/sh/grw/listings-improvements?include=recommendations
When I use that analyze listing function for items that come up for review I don’t get much information, but then most of my listings aren’t going to be in high demand or have much direct competiton. But you might find the information helpful for tweaking prices and comparing your listing to other listings. Personally, if I have unlisted inventory I would put my efforts first into getting those listed and perhaps evaluating a few old listings a day as a break in routine without high expectations that this will make them sell.
There are wide swings in sales and, as sonia said, with 100 listings experiencing a stretch of no sales for a week isn’t necessarily a sign that something is wrong. If you are not using Promoted Listings you might want to give that a try. While you might pay a little more in final fees, sometimes that is better than lower fees on nothing.

You guys are awesome. Thank you so much. Thanks for the link old dad. It did work. And thank you Sharyn for confirmation about how to find bulk editor and how to check “growth” in seller hub.

You sound a little less frustrated now, and that’s a good thing.
To demonstrate another sales swing that can happen, I normally ship 10-12 orders per day but haven’t had an eBay order in almost 24 hours now. This happens occasionally but if there is a reason I don’t know it. Lots of conspiracy theories about that if you check some of the more mainstream forums were the kooks hang out.

We had three good days and then the past two days of selling only four items (all under $20).
