I have a buyer that purchased three items from me. She wants to combine shipping, which I told her I would be glad to do, but she already paid for one item, and not the other two. She is waiting for me to send her an invoice to pay for the other two. I’m not sure how to handle that as far as shipping. Am I going to have to cancel the one order and have her repurchase it so I can send the invoice combining all shipping charges?

The other two she can check out combined. You can pack the items and determine what the actual cost will be to ship it by pretending to ship on the already paid item and changing the package dimensions.
Then you can send her an invoice for the other two items and modify the shipping cost to be the actual cost minus what she already paid for shipping.When you actually ship the items, you can copy the tracking number and add it to the other items. If they are all going to the same address ebay will allow you to do that.

If she doesn’t buy items all in one cart, there’s no way to easily combine shipping unless you use Retro Treasures WV’s method of subtracting a discount or giving a partial refund.
We just say “Go ahead and buy what you want, we’ll combine shipping, and refund you the difference.”

I agree with you Jay I have done the same thing in the past. I dont think you can do it with global shipping because of the forwarding cost element.

Good point. If a buyer purchases two items in different transactions, there’s no way to combine shipping in GSP. It’s super annoying.

Thanks for the responses. Jay’s way seems easiest, so I think I’ll do that. Thankfully it isn’t GSP, just to California. 🙂

I had a buyer purchase three different items from me, and pay for each one individually. When I saw that all three orders were going to the same person, I wondered how to combine shipping. On the top right corner of the eBay page is the notification bell. I opened that, and it said “three items paid, time to ship.” I clicked on that and the program opened up with combined shipping for me. I sent one parcel, eBay updated all three purchases with shipping info. I didn’t have to do a thing.

OP posted that she is waiting for combined shipping for two. He can adjust the shipping to cover all three and deduct the difference from his quote. Then he can notify her what he did.
