I had 300 auctions end last Monday, the day after the Super Bowl, and did really well with them. 57 sold from the auction (either from bids or from a best offer that I accepted, adding BO to auctions is free) and 5 more listings have sold since I returned the unsold auctions to my BIN/BO inventory. Not a bad sell through rate for a tiny store!
Taylor Swift VIP tour box set, with its full wacky story in last week’s scavenge of the week thread, received 44 bids and the final hammer price was $255. Honestly a little less than I expected. $300 gross, only $173 net so about $100 after COGS. Shipping was $61 plus took me like a half hour to find the perfect box which I knew where it had been the whole time, obviously, but I figured I’d do some reorganizing, too. I would have saved about $30 shipping with UPS, but my local USPS is super reliable so I pretty much give them all my business unless the difference is staggering. I went priority mail to get this delivered ASAP because Swifties scare me a lil bit.
My best card sale related to the Super Bowl was this cracked ice Panini Contenders autograph rookie #08/22 of Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed for $168 gross/$131 net. He’s a good defensive player, and this is a nice card because of the popular set, design and low serial number. I had a lot of watchers on this item (likely because of the game) but that didn’t lead to a bidding war like you might think. Sale was basically in line with Terapeak solds. Paid $64 on a non-eBay marketplace site on 1/28. Just dumb luck that I found the original listing before another reseller did, but flipping be like that sometimes.
I sold my last Sleeping Beauty eyeshadow palette ($96 gross/$61 net) on Valentine’s day, choose your own adventure about how the buyer’s day was going when they placed their order. I don’t know if I’ll ever sell any more cosmetic items, but these were a really nice find. These were a limited edition, but the <100 feedback ebay seller I bought them from had at least a dozen (?) and also sold a few modern sports cards (???) and priced them at half of Terapeak solds at the time (?????) but shipped promptly (!) and protected everything well (!!!) so in conclusion $$$$$! (as long as this buyer’s happy).
I sold 16 cards related to the Super Bowl teams and most of the prices were in line with Terapeak history. So it’s not always about luck. The exception was this Jauan Jennings Contenders autographed rookie which had a wild bidding war during the game when the 49ers were ahead and wide receiver Jennings was the unlikely star of the game. This card’s sales history was in the $40 range (a lot of those sales are mine), but the top bid on my card was $200 by the 3rd quarter. But this is my saga of the week sale.
The 49ers lost the game in overtime, which happens sometimes when you play against Patrick Mahomes, then the next morning the top bidder sent me a message retracting his bid. This dropped the high bid from $200 to $127.50, which is where the auction ended, plus I hate retracting bids on principle. But it all worked out, I paid and the card’s been delivered to the buyer. This was my last Jauan Jennings card from this hoard. I sold 1 copy in August for $45, 2 in the last week of September for $32 and $50, 2 in October for $40 each, 1 in November for $34, 1 in December for $40, 2 in January for $50 and $55 and finally this sale at $127. So, for all 10 of them, basically $150—>$550.
Finally, $0 to $46 net with a flat rate box of my leftover trading card cases. These are a reliable $50 and sell in about a week, but I slack on listing them after one sells, so I made a Simpsons chalkboard meme which I am now staring at proudly and wondering if it will actually keep me accountable.
What did you sell this week?

PRADA Men’s Driving Loafers Brown Leather Moccasins Slip On Shoes Size 9 UK
I suspect these are fake, but I could be wrong. Prada just does not have great quality even with known authentic pieces in my opinion. I went ahead and listed them and priced to sell. Sold on offer for $75 within 24 hours. The markings just seemed off and the prada indention marking was not quite right – you can’t see the middle piece of the “A”.

NES Original Console NEW 72 pin installed 2 Controllers cords tested works
I paid $2 at a yard sale this past summer. I was the first person at a Friday yard sale that I went to on a whim. It just worked out perfectly for me. I would like to do more Friday Lunch time yard sales this year once yard sales come around again. I replaced the pin connector which isn’t hard but does require disassembly of the NES. Took an offer of $118.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/335252280714 This was fun because I found the shortie and online arbitraged the companion, making an offer to a newbie seller. Didn’t make a ton but they sold right away. I have this pair listed now with the same approach: https://www.ebay.com/itm/335231819891 I thought this was so cool but had only found one. The other one was cheap but had to be shipped from Australia, so I hope someone else agrees.
No high dollar sales but some death pile items going out the door. Hurray! https://www.ebay.com/ship/single/235107262369-2155014442013 https://www.ebay.com/ship/single/335230696428-2108675583014 https://www.ebay.com/itm/334941266880 Good riddance.
