Steve – Funny how cats like to be in enclosed spaces. It can be a problem in a reseller’s home because something needs to be packed, but the cat decided he/she wanted to be in the box instead!
I didn’t have any really good sales last week, but I’ll talk to two with stories.
I purchased a large quantity of a dish set by Mikasa a few years ago. I’ve sold piece by piece and have made good money on it. I decided to get rid of the rest during my town’s freecycle event at the end of this month, so I marked those listings (plus others). I’ve sold a few in the following weeks including this set of four cups and saucers for $16. I hope she doesn’t want any more because the rest has been delisted!
I purchased a large lot of art over a month ago, and I’ve been listing them little by little. This damaged reproduction oil transfer painting sold for $40 and costed $47 to ship. It does have a really nice frame, but I guess the painting would look nice in the right decor.
I seem to be averaging about 8 sales per week, which is fine as I have a full time job. Sold some smaller priced items this week but it’s mostly things I bought to flip, as opposed to more of the stuff I’m downsizing.

I was about to leave an estate sale empty handed and spotted some sort of display/book case with glass doors. There were maybe 4 books inside including these two. Hard backs were I think $2 each and it was 50% day so scored these two for two bucks total and sold for $29.69

this was from a pile of books I bought after an estate sale ended. I called the estate sale company after visiting the sale on a friday and told them I’d buy the remainder of the art type books once the sale was over. Paid about 30 cents each. Sold three of them this week including this one for $22.50

bought about 15 quilting books at an estate sale for $1 each. Sold this one for $20. believe I’ve now sold three of them for about $60 total.

Found this at an estate sale. I remember this from when I was kid and had to buy it so I could play with it. Got it for $6 and sold for $27,50 (after playing with it for about a week 🙂
Also sold some more of my own collection…..but I also bought a couple things. I collect original comic book art and bought a couple pieces. Decided I need to enjoy some of my profits (as opposed to just leaving it all in the bank)
Great sales everyone! … thanks for sharing. I haven’t sold much in the last few weeks… at least nothing very interesting.
This was kind of fun! My husband is pretty hard on his clothes. Normally his worn out stuff is too far gone to donate so we toss it out. Listed 3 pairs of his old stained carhartt pants… sold for $21! https://www.ebay.com/itm/363345098677 (better than the landfill)
I always pick up old graphic supplies at estate sales. This vintage Smith Corona typewriter brush sold within hours for $12! https://www.ebay.com/itm/363346517250
I am still helping my husband sell his vintage bicycle parts. They sell almost immediately for decent money but not the most exciting listings to share…
