Beautiful area you live in Steve. Looks cold. We are having a mild winter on the east coast, but my husband reminded me yesterday that the bugs will be out in force this year if it stays this way.

I had some interesting sales last week.

This sale marks the last of my square head nail supply. I had been selling 8 ounces (minimum 40 nails) for $4.95 plus a flat shipping rate of $4.99 no matter how many were ordered. Mostly, people were paying for just one, and I would make about $1 on shipping. However, one guy bought three and then made a second purchase of seven wiping out the remainder. It was a nice listing. Created once, and kept selling a few times a month. Paid maybe $1 (total) out of a $5 auction lot of wooden barrels and nails. Made about $200 over about 1 1/2 years.

Sold two whiskey pitchers to one buyer from my auction purchase in September. Paid about a quarter each. Many of them are Scotch whiskeys. Glenfarclas is apparently a big brand. The Isle of Jura pitcher was made in Italy.

Out of my big radio auction purchase, also in September, I sold two larger Zenith radios, both to the same lady. The first was a Trans-Oceanic Royal 1000, which appears to be the first model that came out in the late 1950s. It sold for best offer of $100. I actually have seven more Trans-Oceanics to list! The second was an early 1960s Royal 2000, which only has AM and FM, but is considered to be an excellent radio. I was able to get $90 for it. Each radio from this auction cost me less than $3.

7 of 18 items I sold this week were sold through a 40% off sale I’m having. After moving my ebay space across the house over the last month, I saw a lot of stale inventory I wanted to move out. I put about 1/4th of my store on sale. The items that sold for 40% off I’ve had foooorever and am glad to see them go.

Best sale of the week sold for full price of $54 within 30 minutes of listing. I had them for a year before I listed them because I hung them in my ebay closet and forgot about them. Vintage Evisu Genes Jeans. They are covered with 19 colorful pockets down the back of the legs. So much room for carrying one’s snacks! I paid $6.99 at Goodwill.
