The Groovy Grasshopper Emporium asked abut Hallmark ornaments. Out of a catch of about 30 I listed in November 2017 I have about 7 left. Most of them were of vehicles. This one sold for only $9.75 with free shipping, cost $3. Note that many of the ornaments sold in the $20-$30 range.
A few months ago I bought a big box of maps for $10. These two of the Pacific Crest Trail sold for $25 plus shipping, cost about 25¢ total.
We drink way too much diet Coke at my house. This isn’t the first lot of 100 I sold for $10 plus shipping. I also get 5¢ each for the empty bottle at the local recyclers. The caps are worth more than the bottles due to the award codes on them.
I the last Winsor & Newton’s Artists Brush pot I sold was in 2017 for $40. This one was a smaller version for only went for $30, cost $5

The Nikon LS 40 Film Scanner is an older version but I got $250 plus shipping for it. I could of waited or pieced it out for more but I had it boxed up and it was taking a lot of space.
When I bought the transistor radio I didn’t know what it was. I turns out to be the same model, but different color than the one that was used on the sitcom Gilligan’s Island. I tested it and made a video of it working, then I discovered the case had a small crack so I listed it for $250, which I now know was too low as it sold the first night I listed it. It cost only $8 so I’m happy. Note: Coconuts were not included.
A wile back I mentioned I bought a large lot of VHS tapes for $20 which came out to 9¢ each. A blank media reseller on the east coast bought 20 6 packs for $340 with free shipping. Shipping to the east coast in two boxes was $75, cost of tapes sold was $10.80 which will leave me at least $200 profit after fees.
My biggest sale of last week was a 1980s Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Instrument Cluster, sold as untested, for $100. This purchase was from an auction in October where my husband wanted some automobile tools, and I purchased some inventory as well. My neighbor held an online auction at the end of September. I had recommended that she use a company call MaxSold. I bought a bunch of lamps that no one seemed to want. These screamed “shabby chic” to me, and I was able to get $45 for the pair. I paid about $1. http://www.ebay.com/itm/184014881447
My whiskey pitchers continue to sell! I bought a large number of them in an auction where each came to about $0.25. This Cutty Sark one has an outline of a lady figurehead on the front similar to a ship. Sold for $32. http://www.ebay.com/itm/183982413537

Maybe you already tried it but a little squirt of contact cleaner probably would have resolved that scratchy volume pot.

The military challenge coins from my consignment lot of 800 are selling well though at the rate I’m going it’s going to take years to get through them all. I wouldn’t have taken it on if they weren’t easy to store, research, list, and ship; and the consignment accounting is easy in Easy Auction Tracker. This US military issue Woodland camouflage wet weather parka is from a year 2000 contract. Not of real collector interest, these parkas are nevertheless desirable due to their quality construction and Goretex outer (the latter cannot be stated in the listing due to VERO, but anyone looking for one of these knows what it’s made of). There are many for sale but the size outliers – either real big or real small – sell quickest and for the most money. It’s been a good week and had some interesting sales.
Sold this morning after less than 24 hours this Pal-Bell Matzo plate made in Israel in the 1940’s or 50’s. Paid $13 at auction, sold for $80 off an asking price of $99.95.
Got this chalkware crucifix in an auction lot, basically for free, as I bought the lot for something else in it that already sold. I took an offer of $27 after asking $49.95.
Enjoyed researching this sale. A civil war era 50 cent fractional currency bill that I found in the bottom of a box of ephemera I purchased for $35. Came with about 20 other bills, plus a lot of other items. Took an offer of $120 on an asking price of $149.95.
I bought an old Victorian era scrapbook that was falling apart at an auction for $51. It was full of old advertising card from the late 1890’s to about 1907. Sold this D&M advertising card of a standing dog for $49.95 within 24 hours of posting.
