Steve – I have one of those bread drawers in my kitchen.
Initially I wasn’t sure if those were Canadian geese in the lake or little Loch Ness monsters.
Lots of low priced items sold this past week. Here are a few highlights:
My brother-in-law gave me his collection of Harmony Kingdom collectables about 2 years ago. The majority of the collection has been sold, but I have a few left. This one was a rarer, lower quantity production that was given to attendees of an event. Sold for $35. http://www.ebay.com/itm/183182541883
This is new old stock of a card file holder with cards. No one was interested in this auction lot, so I paid pennies for each item, and this one sold for $20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/183593671793
This Bavarian platter sold for best offer of $45. I’ve had it for a while. Apparently, I received two other offers for $45 in the past, but wanted more. Now that it has been sitting in inventory for over a year, I was willing to accept that amount. I received it for free from one of my parents’ friends. http://www.ebay.com/itm/183725178339
Yeah those Canadian honkers were quite vocal that morning.
Good decision on the Bavarian platter, more and more now I take most offers, especially with very low cost to me items, there is just so much other stuff out there to sell.
Had to post on my sale from last night. Got this clock in a lot of electronics I got at auction. WAs almost going to put it in the give-away pile and thought at the last minute to check out sales. Glad I did. Fully working these can go for hundreds. This one’s clock was working, but the alarm didn’t. Still, posted for $69.95 and it sold within hours. Going to Germany via Global Shipping.
Got a huge lot of cassettes and DVDs at an auction for $5. Made a few small lots but decided to post the rest as a 1980’s mix. Total of 72 cassettes sold within a week for 99.95.
Favorite sale of the week. Bought a bunch of cameras and this Motorola flip phone was in the bottom of a bag. Still powers up and turns on. Came with accessories.
Cool clock, it would’ve caught my eye.
I’m amassing a large number of cassettes after years of getting them thrown in on stereo deals, good tip on selling them in lots according to decade.
I keep selling high-end blank audio cassettes to Eastern European countries for crazy money (sometimes over $100 for one 90 minute cassette) – I wish I could find more.
The question I have is, what are they doing with them? Is there something that they are re-purposed for, or just a lot of crazy collectors in that part of the world? I just don’t understand it. They sell almost immediately every time I list one.
With little to Cassette production for the last twenty years the good ones can be hard to find.
I think Cassette recording and tape trading still goes on in some overseas markets, especially Eastern European and middle eastern countries that ban many or all music and even downloading.
There are some high end types people look for, metal tape, the cassettes with the little metal reels inside and others.
Nice sales! I have yet to find surprise art behind framed art or a framed photo. Cool Platter, I’m thinking fancy hunter’s lodge on that one, and great to see lot up cassettes going for real money.
Holy cow, 30 bucks for that tray? That’s the art of the deal.
I wonder if that’s an Etsy thing, I wouldn’t have even bothered on eBay, I better give it a try though.
