I had an amazing week with my NSFW vintage gay beefcake slides. I think I found the right price now at $30/each as I have a few slides left over from my last upload. (Everything sold out at $15/ea and $20/ea).

This set of chessmen is from Wm. F. Drueke of Grand Rapids MI. Some of the chessmen from this company can sell for ~$150, but those are larger and I think built to tournament specifications. I took a best offer on these of $40

Having struck gold with the photographic images of virile men, I have been looking into flipping old photographs. I like that they can be acquired cheaply and stored easily. I realized in the last few days that my tax situation for this year may encourage me holding out for the highest prices I can get on my eBay business. I earned 6 months of salary this year and have maxed tax deferred contributions so anything I earn will be taxed in a higher bracket in 2018 then in 2019. Thus if I give up $10 to take a purchase now (instead of waiting for a higher sale that may be next year), I could be doubly shooting myself in the foot. It was a small aha! that should skew me towards higher prices until 2019.

Anyone who watched Ryanne’s older what sold videos knows to buy vintage hardware when they see it. These brass table legs were properly labeled in an online auction, but no one wanted them but me. Bought for $1, sold for $90!

Even though they are lower dollar, I still pick up vintage Hallmark cards NIP. Super easy to list and ship. Sold Harry Potter Card Sets for best offer $25 with shipping included. They did take a while to sell. I paid $1 per set. This is one of those times I really should have gone all in. We had a thrift that was storage locker clean out items. They had a bunch of Harry Potter items from a Hallmark store including displays. I don’t know why I didn’t offer to buy it all. Doh!

I had these Halloween plates up too high at $60 through the holiday. I like to take down my holiday stuff after if I can’t liquidate it since I’m over my 250 basic store subscription listings. But, I usually wait a month or two. Took a best offer on these of $30 plus shipping. I thrifted for $8 last month at GW.

Took a best offer of $20 on this 50s Cake Tinbecause it’s so big and I want to move things out of my garage and consolidate. I paid $3 at a church sale, and was relieved to get great feedback because it did have some wear for sure.

Finally, sold this vintage cookie cutter pin. These folk art molds can do pretty well. I’ve sold a board style as well. They are to make Springerle, a German holiday cookie. I got this for $2 at my favorite indy thrift. Speaking of vintage cutters, I think this is an often overlooked item. vintage tin cutter lots can do very well. Also, discontinued Martha Stewart by mail cutters do great.

I posted this on the Podcast Forum already, worth a re post, a great $5 to $250 sale. Packing was a bit challenging, not too bad, you know how that goes. A very, very gracious email came in from the buyer to really close this deal off as one of my favorites.

The Milk Can below was purchased at a thrift shop were I have been blessed to have turned a $600 vintage toy purchase into $8,275 (so far!). I paid $60, a bit more than I would normally pay for a big and bulky, yet I don’t haggle much with this shop! It did fetch a healthy $200 best offer, and another $50 handling charge for my time packing.

I spotted this soft cover book at the local thrift, caught my eye because I was living in Beaufort SC during the time it was published. The sea grass basket craft has always intrigued my wife and I. I picked it up for a buck, realized it was a first print, and sold it for $37.50. This was a nice price for an obscure b&w SC I would have not looked twice at if not for my time living in the low country.
