Got this at the flea market for $5. No power cords or anything, so I looked up the manual online to find what power source it needed, ordered that power source on eBay for $15, but it ended up not actually fitting right. Sold as is for $135 to England within an hour of listing. If it works or can be fixed, it’s worth close to $250-$300. Yeah, there’s always back and forth on here about how much to pay for things, but I’ll take $80 profit any day even if it’s only 3x ROI. I like the balance of things I sourced cheaply and things that I paid up for the quality.
I think that the glass face is contemporary. The auction lot of stuff I bought it with was contemporary, so I’m pretty sure it is as well. It was one of those things I would have liked for myself, but I had kept some other items from that auction, so I didn’t allow myself to keep anything else! Similar sold items were in the $20 to $40 range, so I think that I got a decent price. The few that sold for more than $40 had an artist signature, which mine did not.
I, too, sold an electronic for parts. It was an old Sanyo boombox. I was so excited when I got it for a couple bucks at an auction only to find out it was all busted to hell. Good condition ones sell upwards to $100. But I listed it for $50 and took a best offer of $35. Not bad for a broken radio. Sanyo Radio
Also sold a sterling silver yo-yo. That was a nice surprise at the bottom of a cheap box lot. Came to $1.61. Sold for best offer $60 Yo-yo
I had a few other sales, but one that was kinda notable was an old American Legion Auxiliary jacket with the name Martha embroidered on it. I had it up for maybe 6 months thinking it was going to be a very long time before a specific person would be interested. Well it sold this week for $30. I think I got it for free at the end of an auction. American Legion jacket
And on the other end of the price spectrum, I sold a Tupperware citrus peeler for $3.00 in what has officially become my least expensive sale.
Just arrived in the dog house. Recently I purchased 35 VHS tapes of an old children’s show called “The Gospel Bill Show” they looked like they had never been played. I started checking them out and they looked excellent but when I rewound them the VCR would not show any picture (on the Gospel Bill tape or any other tape) switched VCR’s and same problem my wife said to junk the tapes. I am confused because my experience with bad VHS is either they playback poorly or get eaten. Maybe they ae getting the heads dirty? So I damaged 2 VHS machines and am out $35.00 (was hoping to list the tapes for almost $200.00 they are super rare and some have sold for similar high prices. So guess no more VHS purchases for me. Anyone have issues with old VHS?
Hey guys! Just thought you’d find it interesting that over on the Reseller Society facebook page, someone posted a picture of a box full of poly mailers they just received that had been sent first class. The box weighed 7 pounds! Sound familiar? Wonder if it was the same seller? XD

It is a painting I paid ~ $.79 from a Goodwill Outlet Bin that I thought looked interesting… I just sold it to someone in West Hollywood for $48.47!
I had a pretty good week of sells. Sold a vintage butcher block locally, a sony receiver, a london fog trench coat, some ariat hiking boots, a couple vintage hats and a couple employee uniform hats, and some air jordan sneakers. I sold some books, software, and video games on fba, and I sold a hat and tie on etsy. I like having 4 different platforms working as cash pipelines (craigslist, ebay, etsy, and fba)!
