That would have been awesome!
I saved your suggestions in my notes so that I have it when I’m ready!

Each week I either sell higher quantity, or I sell more expensive items. It could be random, or maybe I just happen to have items that are purchased this time of year.
02/12/2021 at 11:37 am in reply to: Copper fittings, Levi’s trucker jacket, Betamax tapes, Philco clock radio #85862Probably. At one time, I was going to figure out how to fix those, but then I got a part time job. I’m just glad to get decent money for something not perfectly working.
I’m still planning to repair that vintage JC Penney record stereo system I mentioned to you months ago, but I’ve got too many easier death piles to get to first. Maybe this year?

Then, last week, I was again the only one to post! Come on, Steve does this week after week for us! We need more participation here!!
A few weeks ago, I posted on the forum asking for Worthpoint pricing help on a set of sterling shot glasses from Peru. The value was much higher than I realized, so I went and polished them and took new photos. I received an offer within an hour of listing for $80. I bought these in an online auction lot with other items for less than $3, so I paid very little for them. I did have to buy another little bottle tester for silver ($8) as the one I had was old and the test results were not conclusive.

In September 2019, I purchased a large lot of vintage radios, which I have been listing and selling since. I’ve finally listed all the items, and most of what remains are bedside radios in partially working or non-working condition. Although this radio only partially works, the cream color is rare and brought the price up to $32.

For some reason, Feb 3 was designated Linen Day. First, I sold a set of drapes for $84, then the matching bed spread for $43 to someone else, and then a blanket for $22. The drapes & bed spread set came from an online auction for the contents of a closet of linens. I paid about $2 for the whole thing and have already sold a couple things from that lot. I bought the blanket a few years ago for about $1 and put it in my closet, but recently I was looking for some room in said closet and decided to list the blanket.

This is a small thing, but I thought I’d share it with you. This 1969 brochure is called “A Women’s Guide to Football” came in an auction lot with other items. Sold right before the Super Bowl for $8 with two pieces of artwork. I recall, back in the day, we would watch the Super Bowl with my grandparents, and all the women would congregate in a different room. However, I was born and raised on the Steelers, so I vaguely keep track of how the season is going and always watch the Super Bowl!
This has never happened to me, but I’m not sure that eBay will cover you. What happens is that eBay will submit your information to the credit card company, but, if the credit card finds in the buyer’s favor, you don’t have much recourse. eBay will wave their hands and say that they don’t have any control over it.
If I were you I’d at least go to your local post office and ask if you can retrieve the item.

We are also with Consumer Cellular. They also have a great deal on a new SE for $250. We bought new SEs for my husband, my son, and my daughter in the fall. I didn’t do the research on the SE camera, but they didn’t need it any extras. If the SE has what the 7+ camera has, then it could be a contender.
I bought a iPhone 7+ two years ago (February 2019). When I did the research, I found that Apple had been upgrading the cameras, and the 7+ had most of the new features. The iPhone X had some upgrades, but (according to the articles I read) the improvements weren’t worth the much higher cost.
One of the main upgrades was the zoom camera that allows you to go 10x. I use this ALL the time. I am very happy with the quality of the photos as well.
Note that this was for the 7+ (the plus version), not the regular 7 (without the plus). However, note that the 7+ is a larger phone.
This is the research I did at the time, so the recommendations may or may not have changed. I know that some of the newer phones also have a third camera that gives you a wide view, which is really not needed for eBay photos.
I paid $310 at the time. The price has gone down to $230. I don’t recommend getting an iPhone that has anything less than the zoom camera that the 7+ has. The seller is still using the same listing as when I bought mine. I didn’t have any issues with them:
Many people ask about pricing. Mostly, after you’ve done some research, but still have no idea on how to price it, or, if you see something similar on Worthpoint, but don’t have a subscription to see what it sold for, then you can go to this subforum:

02/08/2021 at 6:17 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 500: Fireworks! Lasers! Weekly Numbers! #85743Congratulations on podcast #500!!! I had noticed a few weeks ago that you were at 495, but I wasn’t keeping track so this was a surprise!
For the guy who wanted to see his previous offer, there is a way to do it, but it is kind of kludgy:
Go to Manage Active Listings in Seller Hub. Search on the item with the offer. Under the Actions column, use the pull down menu and select Review All Offers.
In there, you should see all the offers you have sent as well as ones received including the one you are currently considering. And, why can’t eBay figure how to show all those along with the decline/accept/counteroffer buttons? This is a rhetorical question.

A week or two ago, I received Worthpoint pricing help on the forum for my second highest sale, the $80 sterling shot glasses. I received a message and then offer on them within an hour of listing.
02/08/2021 at 10:47 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 500: Fireworks! Lasers! Weekly Numbers! #85726Yes, it just means that eBay will not be offering Parcel as an option. We can always purchase it off another site.
Hey, Amatino, you did better than me! I had my first 0 listings week since maybe my last vacation. My problems had to do with too much going on outside of eBay, having a difficult to pack sale, and having to plan my next load to list. I did finally look through a large haul of linens, so that will help me for this week.
I can’t win the challenge award this year for the same reason as Libby can’t win the listing one, but I’m willing to throw in ideas! I’m partial to the items requiring testing or repair. I still have silver plate flatware and jewelry to list, so shiny or silver color stuff is good.
Trying to come up with something different, how about items made in another country (other than China, which is too common)? Or items made in the USA.
eBay.ca is for Canada isn’t it?
Not sure if he is cleaning up garbage or scavenging.
Either way, I think it isn’t bad enough for this place:
No, you do not need the receipt to make a claim. All you need is the tracking number.
I take the receipt only because the clerks are trained to give it to you. All I really want is to know is that my packages have been locally scanned.
