Her are some details on the seller ability to notify watchers of a price reduction. This is from an ebay rep on the Community Boards. It’s only a pilot program for now:
Hi everyone,
I have received an update on this topic and wanted to share it here:
We are currently running a pilot where seller can initiate Best Offers to buyers. This feature will allow sellers to send offers to the 10 most recent watchers on their items. To qualify for this feature, the listing must:
Already have Best Offer
Be a single quantity fixed price listing
Have been listed on eBay for 10 days or more
At least one one watcher
Only one offer is allowed per watcher (for up to 10 watchers) and the offers will expire after the standard 48-hour duration. The message a buyer receives will clearly indicate that others have also received the same offer and the first to accept will get it. Once one buyer has accepted, the others will be notified that the seller’s offer is no longer available. Buyer’s who do not wish to receive these kinds of offers can opt out by changing their communication preferences. After the offer has been accepted, the seller will be notified and receive the buyer’s username. From here the transaction will proceed as any other.
While at this time the feature is only available to those using My eBay > Selling, we may expand this to those with Seller Hub in the future. Below we have included a screenshot of what this feature looks like for those who meet the listed criteria:

We are excited to begin offering sellers the opportunity to send offers to their watchers and are committed to closely monitoring this feature for any adjustments that may be needed!

Apparently ebay is rolling out the ability for sellers to send offers to their watchers. I’m trying to get details on this. There was mention of it on the ebay for business podcast.

It has become pretty standard. eBay is doing this because new buyers can log in easier and don’t actually need to go through creating a password etc….the whole idea is to make it easier for new people to start buying on eBay. It was discussed at eBay Open.
The cotton seal indicates it is no older than 1973, when the seal was first introduced.
1973

The Seal of Cotton® is introduced. The Seal provides a focal point that serves as the basis of advertisements, produces an identity for cotton, attracts instant attention at retail, and quickly communicates comfort and quality to the consumer. By the end of 1973, 18% of American consumers are able to identify it. By 2003, that number had risen to more than 80%, making the Seal of Cotton one of the most recognized brands in the country.Yep. OK ebay, apology accepted. Try not to let it happen again!
On August 20, we sent you an email with the subject line ‘Keep your account in good standing – payment needed’, indicating that your payment was due. That email was inadvertently sent to you. We’re sorry for the time you may have spent reviewing and responding. We value your time and we apologize.
Your account is in good standing and there is no action required by you.
As always, to review your current payment status:
1. Go to My eBay, and then select Account.
2. Select the All account activity link in the Account Summary section. Thanks for your understanding.
eBay“Rockstar Flipper” has a video up saying that he confirmed with ebay that this is a glitch and it is safe to just ignore the email.
Hmmm….OK…that’s what I was told by the better half, but I’m having trouble finding her source….still, I got the email and , for now, I’m just ignoring it. I think it’s just another in a long run of glitches.
I’m guessing Devin will apologize and tell us this is unacceptable.
And then we can all wait for the next unacceptable glitch…

I think terapeak used to give the seller ID, but looks like they don’t do that any more, and the sale is too old to show up in eBay’s solds. I don’t know where else to look unfortunately.

SOLD DATE: Feb 22, 2018Let me see if I can find more on Terapeak.
Glitch. Just ignore it.
I’m seeing it, and so is my better half…so hopefully this is not just some beta test, but an actual change. Thanks for the heads up!
Wow, Nancy, that’s good to hear! I’ll have to check that out…I had asked ebay for something like that at eBay Open, but didn’t get a very encouraging response. Maybe enough other people asked for it and drove the message home.
I hope we are ALL seeing it, and it’s not just some beta test….
Second one is for stretching canvas (for oil paintings) or maybe for upholstery/leather use.
Neat stuff.
first one I think is a ring frame nut splitter. Hmmm….The Ring Frame Nut Splitters would be a good name for a band. Just sayin’.
the last one looks like a froe to me….for splitting wood to make roofing shingles and so forth.
