Good to see your progress. Keep at it.
12/06/2016 at 5:42 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 287: How Is the Holiday Selling Season for You? #7284We each have our own scavenger equation. Your husband works full time as a doctor, and we depend on eBay for full time income. So you see your business differently than we do. Storage is just a part of our equation.
And sure, it’d be great to only find and sell items that sell quickly and for big profit. And it’d also be great to find these items really cheap. Yes, that’s the ultimate goal. Just doesn’t always happen.
Yes, if the buyer opens a case and doesnt put in the item in the mail within five days, you can get eBay to close the case. See the link below. It doesnt explicitly say this, but it does mention the 5 day time frame.

What if a buyer doesn’t return an item after I’ve already processed their refund?
When you process a return request, we recommend that you wait to refund your buyer after the item has been returned to you and you’ve inspected it. Note: Buyers are instructed to ship their original items back to you within 5 business days of opening the request. If you do refund the buyer before an item is returned to you and not see that the item has shipped after 5 days, contact the buyer. If you can’t resolve the issue with the buyer, ask eBay to step in and help.Until Amazon punishes buyers who lie about the return, Amazon is basically creating a free return shipping scenario. Sellers continue to accept it in return for so many buyers.
eBay at least has a system where the seller can open a case against the buyer, who needs to have a logical reason why the item was defective.

Welcome Clarity. Just curious how many things you have listed. We sell only a couple things a month on Bonanza.
This is good feedback. All we can do is ask our web guy to see what he can do. Keep the suggestions coming. We have a list.
We’re trying to accommodate everyone.
Those who want emails of everything.
And those who to pick and choose what they get.Are you subscribed to the “Podcast Comments” category?
The subscribe link is right below to the title.I ended up right at my comment where I left it. Does it not do that for you?
I’m pretty sure the forum already works this way. Let me comment here and see where it takes me.
You forgot to add the photo link. I love Art Nouveau. It’s a rare to find an authentic piece in the US, so a big deal if it is.

It’s a lot to ask for scavenging to be super convenient, inexpensive and really profitable!
12/05/2016 at 2:56 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 287: How Is the Holiday Selling Season for You? #7213We’ve had a couple customers call us over the years? Other than being unexpected, what;s the fear? You know her address so I assume she doesn’t live close. She’s probably just a drunk. If she threatened you, report her to eBay and call the police.
I’m pretty sure when someone pays for an item, they get your info just like we get theirs. And like you said, anyone can find out our info by just googling.
12/05/2016 at 2:35 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 287: How Is the Holiday Selling Season for You? #7209Since it’s been five business days, if the buyer hasn’t posted the item, you can close the case.
