Steve – looks like a good week of sales! I had thought that maybe your difficulty listing the draw bars with the GSP had to do with the word “organ”, but I see you didn’t have that in your listing. So, seems weird.
My interesting sales from the past week:
These golf shoes were used once. They were purchased by a relative visiting my parents, but he recently passed away (didn’t put that in the listing). I was contacted by the buyer requesting local pickup. Sold on sale for a bit under $30.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182411480001This vintage carving of Don Quixote always had a number of watchers, but didn’t sell quickly. I listed in the fall. Paid about $2, sold for full price of $29.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/182357772086Two more Pantone books sold. The first for best offer of $45, and the second for full price of $35. Paid about $5 each.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/182628951052This wasn’t a big sale, but the story is kind of funny. My sister gave me this large size Elvis T-shirt she bought when she was in Nashville years ago. I asked her why she didn’t want it any more, and she said that it didn’t fit her. I asked her if she realized it was a youth size! Anyway, sold for $15 including shipping.

Some of my sales over since the last video:
c1960s Disneyland Railroad Oil Can
Thought this was so cool when I saw it. Disney always sells and I love finding stuff that is not mass produced or your standard souvenir. Paid up at $50, sold for $120.MCM Two Toned Checkered Marble Stone Dish
This thing was like 9lbs. So neat, looks like it was actually carved from separate stones and then glued together. This type of stone is usually indigenous to Mexico, although no markings to show it’s Mexican. Bought for $10, sold for $110 best offer.Cut Glass Gold Toned Hinged Trinket Box
Found at a hoarder sale. For the most part they were doing a “fill up a bag” sale… paid less than $1 for this, sold for $30.James Madison & John Adams Presidential Portrait Wall Plaques
Last day of a huge estate sale finds. Paid $1, sold for $30. Bread & butter baby.1926 Par Golf Card Game
At an auction over a year ago. I spotted it on a table full of board games. Lost the table to another bidder, but noticed it was a mom with a kid and asked if she was buying the games for the family. She was, so I offered her $5 just for this deck and she was more than happy to let them go. Sold for $85 best offer.1982-83 Masters of the Universe Evil Lyn
Part of the awesome 80s toy hoard I found a couple weeks ago. Piled up all the toys I wanted and they gave me a great price. Paid probably $5 for this, sold for $55.1982 Cross Century 10k Gold Filled Pen
Flea market find… one of those guys that just dumps everything on the table without rhyme or reason. Paid $3, sold for $30. -

Yay, finally sold that old “oriental” rug. I hope it doesn’t get returned, but it is very distressed. Someone in Brooklyn bought it. Got it at the auction for $85 and sold for $400. I had many lower offers on this rug, and some others we have listed don’t get any attention. I guess this one was special in some way. I put Bidjar in the title after someone messaged me about that on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/112180025766
Paid 50 cents for this bathing suit top at a yard sale, sold for $15:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/112228674118Took this cargo cover off of my old Prius before I sold it, $65:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/112446858771Got this pamphlet at a church rummage sale for pennies. The guy who bought it runs a family counselling center in CA, sold for $20:

Steve: Nice sales, especially that Napa cassette holder ;o) Similar are those typesetter drawers that people use to display small collectible thingies, I sold one and have another for sale. Total dust collectors. Even the compressed air wouldn’t get it all out, and I absolutely was not going to sit there with a teenie cloth and clean out all those compartments. So I put in the condition box “Vintage dust included at no extra charge.” It takes buyers with a sense of humor to shop at my store.
Cute kittie and doggies…again! Thanks.

Hey Steve: When I saw your movie screen sold that got me digging through the basement. I found ours just like it AND a Kodak Carousel Slide Projector and two extra carousel slide trays. The projector still works.
Due to the size of the screen and the shear weight of the projector, probably a bad idea to try to sell everything as a complete slide show set-up. So will probably do the screen as one unit and then the projector and trays as a item unit.
But question on shipping, did you just piece together your own long box and cover it up? I have done that for tripods and fishing poles before, and secondly how did it ship and what was the [approx.] cost if you can recall? I estimate a home made box at about 57″ x 6″ x 6″ = 2,052 cubic inches. Since that is over the 1,728 cubic inches for Priority, I guess only regular parcel ground but is still under the dimensional size cut-off. Did you throw in any extra special handling charge to box that baby up and if so, may I ask about how much?
Thanks for any feedback….

I had the original box for this one so I just slapped a label on it but I’ve scavenged long boxes for other screens that have sold.
It cost about $25 to ship it from Sioux Falls to Washington state via Parcel Select. -

“Vintage dust”… hahahahahahaha! Love it.
Pythonesk: I actually have a category in my store called “Ugly” and I’m always amazed that stuff there sells.
This empty tequila bottle was a sumbeach to sell. Not because it wasn’t popular, but because it’s an unusual size. I kept getting offers for the smaller sized bottle. Fortunately, I have a smaller sized bottle that I kept, as the shelf is too low for the larger bottle to fit, so eventually I took a ‘comparative’ photo and added it to the listing. Sold within a couple hours for best offer of $45. I would have held out for more, but needed the sale.

Finally just batched them up for parts and they sold very quickly. This one is particularly fancy. Each buyer has received an email confirming they saw it was for parts before shipping. One replied he would “take the risk.” LOL

Hi Steve – just had to tell you that we got a good chuckle out of this week’s “what sold”. During the video, you said “Alexa, temperature” and our Alexa started giving us our local weather. Just got a kick out of it since you’re in South Dakota and we’re in Michigan, and you were still able to set it off! Looks like your sales have been great…keep up the good work! We also love to see your kids at the end of the videos and look forward to seeing the new video each week. Thanks for sharing!
