Well the usual not-going-to get-there-by-Christmas slow down has started but I still have 6 items to ship out today (mainly Christmas stuff).  I’m hoping for a nice Christmas and week after boost and I will continue to make deals on old and seasonal listings in particular.  I will be on a break from live markets and will be focus on tackling a large amount of preowned and vintage linens.  I also need to list some large art on Facebook Marketplace and won’t be picking that up any more.  I’m nervous about slow sales overall in the new year but encouraged by Poshmark sales and visibility. I never wanted to have clothing mess up my Ebay feedback but I have some nicer clothing and handbags to list on Posh as well.  Lots to do!

All in all I’m feeling solid about not sourcing and working away on the piles.  I think sourcing helped me a bit through some very hard times but it is time to get things more under control.  I was very pleased to sell off some stale listed stuff this season.   At this point, I do have some unlisted boxes of death but there is still a lot of good stuff in the piles.  Probably will do a big sort and have a yard sale in February or March.  Marching toward a manageable inventory and more selective estate sale sourcing later on as a reward.

Live markets was another fun distraction but fewer times in 2025 were they worth enough to make it worth the effort.  I’ve also had some health ups and downs and don’t get a lot of great rest.  If that improves going forward I’d love to find an affordable fixed space and would enjoy staging it.  Selling online is so much easier.  There is a good vintage market in the San Fernando valley I may try again this year.  We’ll see.

I’m getting lazy about checking my COGS when doing my numbers.  Probably my margins are down since I have been making and taking a lot of offers, especially on used items.  My margins on Posh are smaller since they take higher fees and there is so much negotiation.  Hopefully sales will hold up ok through mid-January.  I’m probably not going to be able to list some of those days.  I’m pretty motivated to sell as much as possible and closer to paying off my business credit card which got a balance in the second half of 2026, while sales were poor (and listing was pretty poor too).
