Ryanne,
Are you going from phone to ebay inside of a listing or saving your pics on the computer and then uploading them to ebay while in a listing? -

i make the drafts on the computer, switch to the phone to take the photos, then go back to the computer to fill in and list. so i have none of the photos saved to my phone or computer for re-uploading.

Ouch. Wish I could help on this one.
Have you ever considered keeping the photos on the phone (and later the computer) for some time to help with situations like this? We have had similar issues happen sometimes where having the photos saved our butts on reworks.

Ryanne,
1. Check your phone settings. If you have automatic sync, all of your photos are sitting in the cloud.
2. Clear the cache on all of your browsers and try again.
3. Call ebay and see if they can see the pictures on their side.
4. Check your phone folders for pictures to see if they are sitting there.-

Ryanne.. Saw your post this am but had to run to a doctors appointment and did not have time to reply. But before I do to save some time, did you get a solution for this issue yet?

Ryanne called eBay and they said she can access the photos from the old listing pages. They were correct.
Our long term solution is to not let drafts stay drafts for over a month. We ust got too bust to keep up with a photographer.

“We just got too bust to keep up with a photographer.”
Amen on that. We are feeling it!

Ryanne,
An option that would allow you not to be dependent on the ebay app or platform for holding pics would be to have your photographer save pictures to the cloud in folders when they are taken. Saving to the cloud allows you to avoid using phone storage for the pictures. You can then simply download the pictures into the ebay listing. Although this will take an extra step or two, the pictures will be there forever, so you won’t have to worry about loosing them if you can not get to them right away. I do not have an iphone, so you may want to check YouTube for videos on how to set up and use the cloud features if you choose to go that route.

Another idea proposed by Suzanne A. Wells is to use Scheduled Listings. There’s no limit on how many you have, and you can change the scheduled date if you run out of time.

That is part of the strategy that Veronica is using. Some are drafts, but the rest are scheduled with a dummy photo until we are ready to finish.

Yep, when we hired our first helper, the community helped us figure out that Scheduled Listings works better than Drafts. Works well.
But our new second helper is slower, so we were just having her take photos in Drafts. Now we know why Drafts are absolutely a non-starter. Not a reliable way to store photos before actually listing.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Suzanne gets a lot of her ideas from around people here. When we had a caller talk about junk lots, last month, she posted a video about how to make junk drawers. I’ve heard her mention death piles, listing 500 items items as quick as possible, etc. Maybe she even charges for these free ideas in her paid courses 😉

just an update, i can recover SOME of the photos on SOME of the listings using the old version of seller hub aka “my ebay”, but not all of them. so that sucks. we usually do scheduled listings, as amatino suggests, but with our newest helper i was trying to just get her to be faster photographing and not writing titles/scheduling things. guess that was dumb. lesson learned!!

Have you considered Dropbox? You can save from your phone into Dropbox and access it from your computer. I save over 300 photos at a time on the free account with absolutely no problems. Once a month I transfer my photos out of Dropbox into an external drive. I know you don’t keep your photos, so you could just delete them when you’re done.
Sorry about the plagiarism, Jay. That is rather low, considering she charges a premium for her courses!

yep, this is how we used to do it, but it became cumbersome (dudes i have 8000 listings), so we switched to just using the mobile app to take photos and upload to ebay. guess that’s the risk we’ve been taking and now i’m feeling the burn. won’t let drafts go this long again.
