So I woke up this morning to a nice surprise, given all the recent bugs with lost photos etc. I noticed that my seller status will be downgraded to “above standard” because ALL my packages were showing up as not having tracking in the Ebay Seller Dashboard, even though they all have tracking uploaded and were delivered…. Is anyone else experiencing this bug?

Yes!
I just logged on to the forum to find out if anyone else was having this issue
It shows just 5% uploaded -

They got me too! It’s been a fun couple of weeks!

Us too! Says 89 of the last shipments were not uploaded at all.
So what is the consensus, just wait this out because you know they are getting a ton of calls or is everyone going to call them, get inline a que line and just wait for an uninformed CSR to tell us… “HuH!..Uhh! .. We are aware and working on it and we know nothing else!”
So what is the game plan here?

I posted this on Ebay forums as well. Someone said they called in and wait time was 160+ minutes. I’m guessing they’re being flooded with calls, I haven’t seen *ANYONE* say that they HAVEN’T had this issue. As far as I’m aware it is site wide.

Just looked at my detailed break down and the Seller dashboard shows all of my shipped items as “no tracking number uploaded or supplied” since Jan. 1st, 2018, except for about 1 or 2 in Feb. and April.
Guess we all have to wait it out then.
We have also had a year long glitch still not fixed. We participate in the GSP [global shipping] and our preferences are set so that we do not “EXCLUDE” any countries. If GSP ships there we do too. But yet when you click on any of our listings, and you see the GSP option, below that is the “EXCLUDES and Does Not Ship To” area and it shows every country excluded. Because of this we have not had an International Sale for about a year.
Have called numerous times and they say,… they are aware and trying to fix, or we can still be seen on the foreign platforms so ignore this, or [my favorite] just wait and it will work and sort itself out given time. Well a year has gone by and still every country in the GSP is still showing up as excluded.
So as Ryanne says, “WTF is wrong with Ebay’s back-end infrastructure????”
Seems to just be one thing after another, either internal screw ups or a plethora of drastic changes all hitting the wall at the same time. Change is OK with us, but why make a tidal wave out of it?

I talked with someone at Ebay this morning and they told me it was a known issue with how seller hub is calculating things. So there’s that.
Seriously, Ebay needs some kind of twitter feed that gives sellers updates on stuff like this. Just a general – “hey we know stuff is messed up right now, don’t freak out, we’re working on it” or what not. Would alleviate a lot of problems. For themselves most of all.

I’m on with ebay now. Only 15 minutes on hold–What is up with their hold music?
the rep has been unable to contact the people who can answer question
Side note–He said there is no report of the disappearing pictures from last week as a known issue -

This cumulative SNAFU over the past few weeks along with seller unfriendly implementations are really ripening the landscape for a new platform to swoop in and set a new (online selling) world order. Nearly every empire is to blame for their own death spirals and as we’ve seen (especially in the social media area aka MySpace) the digital world is not immune either. If I were eBay and its investors, I would be worried.

Me too. It shows only 4% was ever uploaded and validated. I buy every label through eBay and my awesome mail ladies scan all of my packages before they leave my driveway. What a nice surprise to wake up to! 🙁

Was just coming here to post this! Glad to hear it’s widespread and I’m not really underperforming under new guidelines or something. I pride myself on my speedy shipping time so it’s a particular punch to the gut.

My son says I should never say the word hashtag because it will make me sound old and out of date, but this feels like a hashtag me too on the glitch.

Same glitch for me. I feel like I’m pretty level-headed with a wait-and-see approach to eBay issues, but this is getting ridiculous. After losing 35 photo listings last week, I’m feeling very vulnerable right now with eBay. What else are they going to erase or lose that will undercut all the work I’ve done in my store? I don’t know who heads up the division of eBay that’s responsible for all these hiccups, but they need to be replaced.

Hi MDC Mike,
We touched on this before, and I am still having a shipping exclusion bug/problem – very similar to yours except mine is excluding APO and Hawaii/Alaska! Every new listing, no matter what exclusions I clear or new policy or listing I create – the exclusions remain. I haven’t been able to get anywhere with ebay on this one. (I believe I caused this when once I had set up an exclusion for selling a bottle of perfume that I just wanted to stay continental US and somehow it stuck in their backend.)Anyway, I feel your frustration – and admittedly your problem is a lot worse than mine! So I just wanted to commiserate with somebody! 🙂
Here is what I figured out as a work-around in case anyone else ever encounters something like this – it is a pain in the butt, but it works to clear out the exceptions in my case – it just adds another minute and 1/2 to the listing process, but it does work using the bulk editor.
* First I created a New “temporary” Flat Rate Free Shipping Policy with GSP and choose the Exclude Shipping Location checkbox and “edit Exclusion List”. Pick ONE arcane country/location that you have never heard of. I choose Tuvalu! Apply and Save the Policy.
* Create a second New Calculated (Priority Mail) Shipping Policy with GSP AND include Alternative International Worldwide Shipping (Priority International) and make sure no exclusions are selected and Apply and Save.
* List the item with the Fake “temporary” Shipping Policy. Check the listing to make sure your one country is excluded. Somehow if you can get this far, it clears out the other hidden exceptions that aren’t supposed to be there.
* Close all windows/tabs with old listings. (I found this step to be important.)
* Go back into My Selling Manager and open the new listing, select Revise the Listing – now edit to select the second New Calculated (Priority Mail) Shipping Policy. Update listing.
* Finally open the listing again to verify that Worldwide Shipping is displayed with NO Exceptions.
Interested to hear if that works for you, good luck and keep us posted.

I do remember now that you spell this out that you posted something to this effect before. At that time I did go and select a odd ball country, it was like Slovenia or something like that. That hung around for a long time, thinking it would eventually resolve itself. I deleted that one country a few weeks back and resorted back to the old policy. Still nothing.
But this time I think your process seems slightly modified from the first post. I will follow your steps agagin and give it a shot and see what happens. Will need to do it later after I get a few things done here in the office. Will post the results after I see if it works.
Thanks for the tip…

Ok, so just put a knife in me – lol – I am at 4.76% Tracking Uploaded. I know this board is awesomely famous for its positivity and solution-oriented approach – but this is getting absolutely ridiculous – eBay are you falling apart?!?

06/29/2018 at 12:45 pm #43983
It is bad. eBay must be injecting a lot of new code into the system without proper testing. But worse, eBay is not being transparent about the issues and the solutions.
The key for us to separate out what we can control and what is out of our control. We have to assume eBay will figure all this out. There’s is zero incentive for us to waste brain space worrying about these glitches.
Good news is that we’re having a pretty good selling week. Sold two things so far today.

Can anyone confirm that calling the reps doesn’t fix anything? I’m seeing mixed messages about that. I assume since this is a site wide bug that the issue will be fixed all at once for everyone.

Add me to the group of people doing spit-takes of coffee this morning when they looked at their seller dashboard. I saw I had not uploaded 88 packages and my account was dropping to Above Standard. Um, NO.
I even gave myself a lil pep talk last night on being positive with eBay in spite of all the issues.
I just called support (10:30 am Central), they had a mini announcement “we are aware of the tracking issue…”Stay strong, fam!

ditto to all the above. Seems the ebay interweb gods are testing us big time.

My positivity level is pretty low. My wife and I have been on a listing spree this week – at least 10 item a day. I also spent hours “gardening” my listings. I edited a ton of titles, dropped a lot of price, I even put ALL of my mens shirts on free shipping.
My reward for all of this account activity – I haven’t had a sale in 3.5 days. Historically even a fraction of this much account activity in the summer months has spurred increased sales.
On the bright side, my late shipment rate metric is at 0%. Awesome!

Retro, well… in the last 48 hours I sold … hold your breath… a TIE, for a grand total profit of $2.50 and I have been listing like crazy as well.. I finally just broke 1000 listings *woo hoo* – you are next, right?

06/29/2018 at 1:55 pm #43997
Stay strong folks. I had a historically low month and then had a $600 day yesterday which is helping me inch closer to the monthly goal. I don’t know how it works but if you review your sales history over time it always seems seems to average itself out. Keep listing, it will pay off down the line.

They are recognizing and working the issue. We were hit as well, and calling Concierge there was a recorded message acknowledging the issue and that they are working it.

Me too! This is the first glitch that I’ve experienced, as far as I know. When I clicked on my Above Standard rating it said: “A technical issue is causing projected ‘tracking uploaded’ rates to display incorrectly for some sellers. We’re aware of this issue and are working to fix it as soon as possible. Your current seller level isn’t affected. We apologize for the inconvenience”.
My goodness, there are so many glitches on eBay lately! I’m sure they will get an earful from irate sellers at eBay Open!

Fixed on my end. Anyone else?

06/29/2018 at 7:54 pm #44069
Fixed on my end too. So we sleep well tonight and will see what the next surprise is when we wake up tomorrow.
Who knows, maybe our PayPal funds will have been drained by a Russian Hacker and all our funds transferred to a Siberian account…. 😉

ours is fixed too. also see a notice at the top of the dashboard saying: “A technical issue is causing projected ‘tracking uploaded’ rates to display incorrectly for some sellers. We’re aware of this issue and are working to fix it as soon as possible. Your current seller level isn’t affected. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

I called yesterday about this too. I found that wait time if I called ebay was 3 hours; but if ebay called me it was 15 mins so I chose the latter option. The rep confirmed the glitch and said it would be fixed within 24 hours, and it has been as of this morning.
Rep said it was good that I called as that meant my store would be included in the review of the glitch and application of the fix. Don’t know how true that is, but the fix was applied overnight.

It looks like the labels I printed this weekend are showing as “not uploaded at all”. So you may want to check any labels you printed while the glitch was happening.

Unrelated, related problem to report- Yesterday I was locked out of my account- password wouldn’t work. on the iphone app and on the laptop. changed it , log in is fine.
tracking, i was late on a package about 3 months ago, and it showed up as such on my dashboard up until today… I’m 100% on time.
Did they mash the reset button and give everyone 100%? or does it drop off? i’ve been selling less than 12 mos.Unrelated, unrelated conspiracy theory- remember the lady who called in about ebay giving out her phone # ? I thought yeah right, baloney.
Until I read a recent thread on reddit with the same theme, except it was on the offer up platform and a phone # was given… and they referenced other similar experiences- perhaps there is some sort of bug, glitch or cyber malfeasance probing or poking around for weak targets IE poor systems = poor security
I will also be updating my authentications –

Although the Tracking Uploaded glitch has been fixed on the main Seller Hub page, it is still not correct in the Performance>Guaranteed Delivery section (for me, at least). I reported it to Ebay for Business but it did not seem as though they were aware of the problem before hand. If others are experiencing the same, I urge you to report it as they often don’t give tech issues much attention until they hear from multiple users having the same problem.
