Ebay coupon: free supplies that I don't need.

I’m going to start off that I am not selling my coupon or the eBay shipping supplies From said coupon. However, I am well stocked on shipping supplies for the holiday and don’t really want to make room for more stuff. That being said I don’t want to pass on “free” stuff. What are people’s thoughts?

You can let the coupon expire or you can accept, and make room for, free stuff you don’t really need right now in anticipation of needing it later. Are there other options I’m not seeing?

Order the free stuff and then resell it on ebay for less than what ebay charges.

I would offer – Are there smaller supplies that you can use the coupon for because you know you use them all the time and they can be easily stored? Would it benefit you to have them as a back up instead of having to repurchase them when you really need them? I have learned that in this business, as prepared as you think you are, you can never really predict what is coming down the line or what you might find that you may want to sell and may need those extra supplies for.

You have three months to use it, so I wouldn’t be in a big rush to make a decision. You may find, that you’ll be running out of something before the end of the year.

You could just offer the code up to someone else. I’m sure there are a lot of people who could use free supplies, i know i could. I can’t wait until my code is ready again.

If I recall correctly, I think selling the code or giving it away may be against eBay policy and could open the door to some unexpected difficulties. You may want to check the deadline on use of the code before doing anything about it.

PS – I’m no longer getting the emails when people reply on the blog. Did that get turned off? I always check the box, and I checked my spam filter and they aren’t there.

Weird. I’m not getting them at all in my email, and I don’t see them incoming into my spam folder. Is there any way that it could have been turned off on the SL site? I always click the box to send me emails, but I haven’t received any messages in weeks.

It says that you’re subscribed to multiple threads. Emails should be going to a Mindspring address. Does that sound correct?

It was, but I changed it to my Yahoo address and now I’m getting them. There must be something in the Mindspring folder that is blocking it.

Iirc the coupon code is tied to your eBay account and can’t be transferred.

Order your “free” shipping supplies and sell them or donate them to charity

I ran into someone trying to sell the branded small poly bags at a yard sale in Michigan last summer-lady claimed they sent the wrong bags. She wanted retail prices for the bags, so I moved on, guessing that since she sold stuff on ebay and I wouldn’t find any deals. I would have bought the bags if they were 70% off, or so.

Yeah, I would also buy the tape, and any winter/Christmas themed stuff. It should sell quickly.
