When someone stumbles upon our blog, we don’t expect them to have listened to all our podcasts. So we get a lot of questions like, “How did you know what to do to get started on eBay?” It’s always a good question.
We’ve done a good number of episodes on this topic (here, here, here, and here). But in this episode, we talk about how our eBay business happened by accident. Looking back it’s easy to connect the dots, but when we were in the middle of it, we were just going on instinct. We didn’t have a master plan for storage or inventory organization. We didn’t know what we would be selling or what it’d be like to ship six days a week.
The most important point is that we focus on the lifestyle we want to live and build our eBay business around that lifestyle. That’s why selling on eBay is so great. The money we make simply buys us our time. We aren’t slaves to the business.
