Wow! Here is the FBI Criminal Complaint that details the tremendous efforts and collusion undertaken by ebay management to “take down” journalists critical of eBay. Nearly every page details activities that are shocking. For example:
On April 20, 2019, discussing the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of Executive 1, Executive 1 texted to Executive 2, “F them. The journal is next on the list after [Victim 1].”
FBI Criminal Complaintbtw, Executive 1 is clearly former CEO Devin Wenig and Executive 2 seems likely to be Steve Wymer, former Chief Communications Officer.

The former CEO is a snake and sounds very much like Gavin Belson straight out of Silicon Valley tv series. The terrorism aside – the amount of money they spent to harass this couple: air fare, stays at the Ritz, new computers in order to hide their activity, one $750 meal while planning their next attack, etc. The complaint also mentions a vanity project of the CEO – building an exact replica of a certain NYC bar on the eBay campus at the time the company was laying off workers. And at the end of it all, after the Board was aware of what transpired they let him go with a $57 million golden parachute. Unbelievable.

Agreed! As I was reading the complaint, it seemed unbelievable that any billion $ valued company would have this level of criminal conspiracy. It’s such a good read, I was thinking people would pay for this engrossing entertainment and I briefly thought of creating an ebay listing for printed, bound copies of the PDF but immediately realized I’d almost certainly suffer consequences imposed by ebay security & corporate communications.

Just sick.
Imagine, right now, that you were given 10 million dollars. All your financial problems solved, entire generations of your family don’t have to worry about living costs – what a dream, right? Now realize the people who did this probably made 10x that and were still terminally pissed off at some internet nobodies writing a blog, but instead of just trolling and being obnoxious in the comments section like a normal person, they launch a multi-level attack that involves Illuminati-level mind-Fing. Going back, I’d probably take 90k of that 10 mil and donate the rest to avoid whatever brain disorder you get from seeing too many zeroes in your bank account.
And anyone who is laying off staff and spending a few hundred mil on a bar is a doofus. To the gulag with these punks.

So I finished my term on a Federal Grand Jury a few months ago. No one every believed me when I told them I LOVED being on the jury and I looked forward to every session each month.
THIS is why it was so awesome (Well the actual crimes are TERRIBLE, but you get my meaning). imagine being in the room seeing all this evidence, hearing the confidential witnesses lay it all out. You get to ask the witnesses and officers any question you want. All of it is top secret and you can’t tell anyone what you heard.

That does sound SO fun. I’m so sad that I will probably voire-dired right out of any jury selection because I’ve studied criminal justice and psychology extensively. No defense attorney would let me stay on haha!

That definitely wouldn’t disqualify you from being on a grand jury. It’s very different than a petit (trial) jury. No Lawyers are involved. A grand jury issues indictments, not verdicts. Here’s a good summary:
A grand jury (12 to 23 people) is a body that investigates criminal conduct. Federal, state and county prosecutors utilize grand juries to decide whether probable cause exists to support criminal charges. A regular jury (6 to 12 people) – aka a petit jury – hears only trial cases. A regular jury decides the facts.
It’s pretty rare to get on a federal grand jury. In my state there are 4 federal districts, and each district has a max of 23 people. A federal grand jury term runs 18 months, so that is less than 100 people called every year and a half for my whole state!

I just read the latest article in the Wall Street Journal about this and its very disheartening. I love selling on eBay but to read that executives lashed out so childishly at small-time critics makes me feel conflicted about using the platform. I’m also very surprised that nobody internally put a stop to this until law enforcement got involved.
