SO, I have not posted here in a while but since we are all home and being safe I thought I might share my eBay experiences.
I have been selling for 20 years since I found this podcast, I changed to long-tail selling and got myself a storage unit and started massing inventory. The cost of the storage unit here in NJ always bothered me ($150 per month for a 5×10) but it kept the stuff out of my house and the wife happy. When the pandemic started, I started to worry I would not be able to access my inventory. Back in March I ran to the unit and grabbed what I could. I started organizing the stuff and realized some of the stuff was not listed. After 1 week I got through all the stuff I took home in my truck and went back for more. A week later I went back for more, they were open and no one is usually there since people usually store stuff and access it once and a while. It finally took 3 trips and I got all the stuff. I canceled the unit after having it for over 6 years. I just finished go thought all the inventory and fixing old listings that had free shipping and other errors.
I also went through my business policies which eBay generated over 300! All in all, I feel more in control, and sales are brisk. I guess people are home and board and they are in a buying mode. No trends here I sell everything and anything.Marc in NJ

If you have room at home, we find it best to have inventory close. We sold for years, storing our inventory in three different places.
We also finished a big inventory check so we could label everything. Found a handful of errors we had to fix, but it felt good to touch everything we’re selling.
Being organized and efficient is never a bad thing.

Yes and I changed my handling time to 1 day on everything I feel more in control although the storage unit was not much of an inconvenience. I did find a few of my listings still stuck on free shipping so I changed that. Curiously enough those listings with free shipping also had formatting that eBay did not like. I could not bulk modify those listings and I had to go into each one. Once into each listing when I went into the description eBay prompted me to remove the formatting before I continued to edit the listing. I had to tap that twice (on my iPad) before it let me edit the description. Once in it dod not remove the formatting which showed up as HTML. I had to backspace and remove it myself. It was tedious but I got through them. About 100 out of my 700 or so listings.

I am surprised so much is selling. I am nervous I will sell through all of my stock and not be able to source!

Interesting once I removed the formatting in the descriptions of the auctions they started selling.

I was determined to stop selling on ebay. NOT because I don’t love it-I do. The storage thing is my problem. I cannot stand to live in clutter. Finally, I started getting cardboard boxes from the grocery store, and grabbing things to put in them for sale. Still not done, but I moved it all to my garage and can I just tell you how much better I feel? I was worried I may be on the next episode of “HOARDERS-Buried Alive!”. Lol. I also found myself getting more organized at home (again-not done yet) and enjoying being home more.
